A giant dead whale shark was hoisted onto a pier with five cranes in the Pakistani port city of Karachi on Tuesday. It was over 39 feet long and almost 6.5 feet wide. It weighed nearly 8 tons.
10 days ago the whale shark was spotted about 90 miles off the coast, and then washed ashore Tuesday.
The dead whale shark sold for $34,680.
It probably tasted like rotten tuna.
