Wesley Snipes Charged with Failing to File Tax Returns
Wesley Snipes has been charged with failing to file income tax returns, and conspiring to defraud the Internal Revenue Service, the agency said Tuesday.
Snipes, 44, was also charged with presenting a fraudulent claim for payment to the IRS, the agency said in announcing the eight-count indictment. Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
