Tina Simpson Scolds Jessica Simpson For Blowing it On Stage

On December 5th I reported on Jessica Simpson leaving the stage in the middle of her performance of a Dolly Parton song. You can read about it here. I said in that article, "Very unprofessional. Jessica didn’t even rehearse, and sang the words off cue cards. She should have learn from Ashley’s SNL lip syncing flub. I find it hard to feel sorry for Jessica when she wasn’t even prepared to perform. She did it to herself." Guess who else agrees with me.

It was reported today that Tina Simpson (Mom) was furious with Jessica after she flubbed lyrics, stood statue-still on stage while trying to hold her dress up, and then awkwardly hurried off with a few mumbled words to Parton. Tina told her daughter that the performance was “embarrassing” and “unprofessional,” and mom was further incensed because Jessica had missed a dress rehearsal and hadn’t adequately learned lyrics to the song, which necessitated cue cards at the front of the stage. Jessica can be clearly seen reading from the cards during her performance.
