Of course Kristy refused to take the key. Tila and the Season 1 winner only lasted a month, so they could have a season 2. Now they can start preparing for season 3. Of course it’s scripted. The trick is to suspend belief when you watch it, like you’re watching “Lost” or some fiction movie.
