… thinking of how its gonna be unfair …

… thinking of how its gonna be unfair for this child to be born is just adding up on how hideous a thing can get. i believe rather than commenting things like this, why dont we help ppl accept situations like this more openly…
a child’s growth does not merely depend on a parent’s/ guardian’s gender, so with proper upbringing, i believe a child will do good…

The point is, he refers to Filipinas as what, a baby maker? I know it’s a joke but Alec wasn’t referring to giving a Filipina a better life but to make him a baby. #4 I agree with you. We, as a society, don’t have to accept whatever. “Thomas” can’t even decide which sex “he” wants to be so, yes, I would call into question “his” fitness to be a parent.
#3 The real issue here is “Thomas’” decision to get pregnant. He has made permanent changes to his body with the use of surgery and drug therapy for years. If caffeine can have an effect on an unborn baby, then what in the world do you think years of hormone therapy can do?
There are lots of heterosexual parents who aren’t fit. However, the issue here is someone who can’t even decide on something as basic as his/her own sex is going to have a child? No way! This child will suffer the psychological effects of his confused parents for many years to come.
I agree that this was irresponsible. I am a woman. I was born a woman. When I was pregnant, I wouldn’t even take cold medicine out of fear of harming my unborn baby. The fact that “Thomas” has taken male hormones for years may, indeed, effect the baby. And the baby is a female, so I would be especially concerned.
Thomas needs psychological help. There is value in accepting who you are, whether it is your height, weight, age, sex, etc. And there is truth is knowing what can be changed (such as hair color, for example) and leaving alone what is anatomically permanent.
This is nothing to be happy about, just because it is a new concept.
Instead of focussing on tolerating/accepting others, why not focus on accepting who you are as an individual? Children aren’t toys, they have a LIFE, you can’t just bear a child and hope that nothing will happen to it when you’ve got no source of breast milk, and a bunch of psychological issues that come with it. Mommy is simply a woman who gave birth to you, not just any woman. Daddy is the sperm donor. You cannot be the biological father by bearing the child. Male and female aren’t even defined by genitals, it’s defined by who gives birth.
There is a reason why society was and still is mostly made of heterosexuals. As in nature, there are homosexuals, such as penguins, but they aren’t majority for a reason. It’s biologically un-fit (not in a sense of weight, but survival and reproduction). While gays may be natural, children are meant to be raised in a family with a father and a mother. Not mommy who turned into daddy.

its absolutely out of this world that you would defy nature and disguise your original gender to then only want to use the parts that enable you to reproduce!! Its hideous and i dont think its fair to the child to be born into such a farce!!
I was initially shocked when I heard about this pregnant “man” all over the news. Then when I found out IT was born a woman I was no longer shocked because she/he IS capable of having a baby! HELLO! Next time people, call me when an actual man DOES get pregnant! Geez, people are stupid…
