Thomas Beatie Had a Baby

Thomas Beatie (34) gave birth to a baby girl last Sunday at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon, but did not have a Caesarean section as some reports claim.

Beatie has struggled to be accepted to be called a man, even though she was born a woman, and still has all the biological parts of a woman, except the bulk of her breasts she had removed. Beatie’s world consists of finger pointing, snickers, and public confusion as to what she is … boy or girl? What makes Beatie think this kind of life, and environment, is mentally healthy for a child to grow up in? It appears Beatie was only thinking of herself, and not the child when she got artificially impregnated. In addition to not being able to live in a "normal" family environment, Beatie’s daughter won’t have the benefit breast feeding provides either. Beatie said she kept most of her female parts so she could have a baby later, which means she should have kept her breasts until after the baby came. That would have been the responsible thing to do.

Unlike most who feel peer pressure to accept all of Beatie’s bad decisions in the name of acceptance, I’m not going to condone irresponsible behavior when a child is involved.

    Breast feeding…i am a guy and was never breast fed..i guess thats why i came out gay right?
    I did not come out “normal” dang it.

    Hooray for you calling her a “her”. Political correctness, and the fear of being criticized for not being politically correct is tearing this country apart. When will we stand up for morals and values? Why are people continually being force fed all this garbage. It is an age where the minority are trying to make good into evil and evil into good. Stand up America for values, morals and good!

    As far as the breastfeeding goes, Thomas’ wife, Nancy, will be breastfeeding Susan. She went through lactation therapy.

    This child will have two, loving parents, which is more than you can say about a lot of children in this day in age.

    I don’t think not being breastfed is going to be this child’s main obstacle in life. Many women with boobs choose not to breastfeed thieir children. Wtf is the obession on your part with breastfeeding. You must be male..

    so what are u goin to do now? tell the child she has an abnormal family? and she and her family already has been stripped of respect due to some kind of IRRESPONSIBILITIES, which everyone of us commit as well.
    still i believe, love and communication can still bring great future to this kid, but society hinders it.
    worried that she’ll be made fun of? then teach your own kids, she’s no different than yours anyway…
