The View Discusses Thomas Beatie
Posted on April 8, 2008 at 11:20 am (PST)The ladies from The View discussed the woman who calls herself a man named Thomas Beatie. Some of the best points were: she still gets a pap smear because she has a uterus and a vagina, debate if testoerone she took will harm the baby, wondering how she can call herself a man yet have a baby like a woman, and my number one concern, concern over the psychological damage that will be done to the child due to its confusion over its parents gender issues, sexuality issues, and stigma from society in general. Some heterosexual parents are deemed unfit, so why hasn’t Thomas Beatie been deemed unfit due to her obvious psychological issues?
