The Police are to hold a rehearsal session in Los Angeles next week, front-man Sting has announced, fuelling speculation the British supergroup are to re-unite for a world tour. Who are these guys? It’s Sting, and the other two guys.

In a statement on his website, Sting offered 20 tickets for the session which will be held at the legendary "Whisky A Go Go" club in Hollywood. The rehearsal comes the day after The Police are to perform at the Grammys in Los Angeles on Sunday.

News that The Police were to reunite for the Grammys has led to speculation that they are planning a tour to mark the 30th anniversary of their founding. Sting, guitarist Andy Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland formed The Police in 1977 and went on to become one of the most successful groups of the next decade, with a string of hits including "Roxanne" and "Every Breath You Take." The band split in 1984.

The rehearsals will be shown live via webcast at thepolicerehearsals.com beginning 2pm EST Monday 2/12/07.

Stewart Copeland also released a select number of passes to fans on his website, and JackFM may still be running their promotion for passes.
