You’ve got to see this to believe it, and luckily you can. A mysterious man in a baseball cap and sunglasses attempted to grab an iPhone from a Newsweek technology columnist while he was being interviewed on Fox News in New York City. But the inept crook ended up grabbing the reporter’s microphone by mistake!

Adding insult to injury, the thief  was quickly tackled by some large men and no doubt arrested.

Here’s a little free advice: If you’re planning to steal something, try not do it on live television, and if you have to do it on live television, steal the right thing and then run like hell.

TMZ has just posted a video of Britney delivering a letter to her mother but, alas, it is not a restraining order as one might expect. It was simply a letter informing her mother of what is proper behavior, as Britney knows about that, y’all.

Sources say Britney feels that her mom turned on her in the days before she entered Promises rehab. She also feels Lynne Spears is not stable enough to be around Brit’s kids because she may have her own "issues." We’re told the letter bluntly asks Lynne to stay away from the children if she is taking any medications that would impair her ability to be around them.

We’re also told Spears has become super-protective of her kids and is taking back a lot of the control that others were exercising over her life.

I’m confused — is this the same Britney that has been closing down clubs and showing her naughty bits all over town? The only control I see her exercising is whether she’ll be showing us the upstairs or downtown.

At first she attempts to burn the script. Damn childproof lighters!

Foiled, she tears the script up. Runs the the script for the next Paris segment through a shredder and objects on camera to her producer’s pressure to lead the newscast with the Paris Hilton story.

Paris Hilton’s Larry King Interview was chock full of nuggets, but perhaps none better than this little gem:

"I’m just not a big drinker. I’m not really into it."

Really, folks. She said it. In Paris’ defense, she may honestly not remember that she has ever had a drink. She probably doesn’t even remember why she was in prison. It’s a miracle that she didn’t forget where she was halfway through the interview and panic.

Paris also claimed in the interview that she has never used drugs. Another likely story. It’s clear that Paris has no interest in developing any kind of honest relationship with either the media or the public. I’ll go out on a limb here and guess that she has learned absolutely nothing for her little stay behind bars.

The good news here is that she will no doubt provide us with years of boneheaded behavior to make us all feel like bona fide geniuses.

This is about as dark as it gets. Police have released some of the details surrounding the deaths of former WWE superstar Chris Benoit, his wife, and his young son, and they are simply gruesome. Benoit reportedly asphyxiated his wife and son Friday night, and then hung himself some time Saturday.

A Bible was found next to each of the bodies, and both prescription drugs and steroids were found in the house.

Police have not speculated about a motive or what role drugs and steroids might have played in this tragedy, although a toxicology report will no doubt answer some questions.
