Fierce Project Runway winner Christian Siriano will grace Ugly Betty with his fabulous presence when he appears on the show on May 1. When asked who was the fiercest of all the cast members Siriano said:

“Ooooh, they’re as fierce and ferocious as they can be,” raves Siriano. “Vanessa Williams is the queen of fierceness and Becki Newton is the princess … I’m inviting them all to my Spring 2008-09 collection.”

The show should make Siriano a regular.

Ugly Betty’s Vanessa Williams is hitting the Web Friday in a new ad, and we have your first look at the 60-second clip, in which she appears with designer and colon cancer survivor Carmen Marc Valvo. The ad is aimed at educating people about the importance of getting screened. "Colon cancer isn’t glamorous, but we have to be vigilant about getting people comfortable with talking about it," says Williams, working on the campaign with the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance and pharmaceutical company sanofi-aventis. "My good friend Carmen is living proof that colorectal cancer is treatable. As a first step, we want to encourage people to talk to their doctors about getting screened." Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones spent Saturday night at Soney Pictures in Culver City to attend the third annual “A Fine Romance,” event. Catherine hosted the event along with co-host Hugh Jackman. Also in attendence were Audra McDonald, Dick Van Dyke, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Chita Rivera, Shirley MacLaine, Raul Esparza and Jamie Campbell Bower. The press release for the event said:

“More than 500 entertainment industry executives and talent gathered for the event that featured performances of songs from movies that became Broadway musicals and Broadway musicals that have become movies. The theme for the event was based on the book “A Fine Romance” by longtime MPTF supporter Darcie Denkert.”

There are few greater examples of a real romance than Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones.
