Travis Barker is shown in the video below rehearsing with one arm. News broke at the beginning of October that Barker’s arm was broken, possibly due to Osteoporosis brought on by a vegetarian diet, or at least a lack of calcium in his diet.

On December 31, 1984, Rick Allen, of the band Def Leppard, lost his left arm in a car crash on the A57 in the hills outside Sheffield when his speeding Corvette left the road on a sharp bend, and went through a dry stone wall. Despite the severity of the accident, Rick was committed to continuing his role as Def Leppard’s drummer. He practiced drumming with pillows, and realized that he could use his legs to do some of the percussive work previously done with his arms. He then worked with Simmons to design a custom electronic drum kit. Allen continued his career without missing a beat.

If Allen can do it, so can Barker.

Earlier I said, "Does he have osteoporosis, or does he really rock that hard?" Looks like I was right. This doesn’t just happen. Docs say Travis needs to eat better. He probably isn’t getting enough calcium in his vegetarian diet. A true vegetarian diet usually avoids dairy products, but a person can take Oscal or something to make up for it. Still, Travis says he could have a tumor that may have caused the break, and if that’s true they most likely saw it on the MRI. Another thing Travis should be considering is that smoking will slow healing, and it could take 1-2 years for his are to heal if he keeps smoking. Normally it takes about 6-8 weeks. SO AS OF NOW I WONT BE PLAYING ON SATURDAY WITH AM OR ANY OF THE UPCOMING +44 SHOWS. I HAD THE WORST PAIN IN MY ARM THE DAY AFTER WE FILMED OUR VIDEO AND I REALLY THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. WE PLAYED FOR 8 HRS LIKE I USUALLY DO BUT I GUESS THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT. I THEN PLAYED OUR ENTIRE EUROPEAN LEG OF OUR PROMO TOUR IN THE WORST PAIN I’VE EXPERIENCED EVER. I GOT X-RAYS IN LONDON BY AN URGENT CARE DOCTOR THAT SAID HE COULDNT DETERMINE WHAT EXACTLY HAD HAPPENED. WHEN I GOT BACK TO LA I SAW ANOTHER DOCTOR AND HAD EVERY TEST POSSIBLE TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON IN MY ARM. THE MRI/X-RAY SHOWED I’D BEEN PLAYING WITH A BROKEN ARM FOR 3 WEEKS AND OR POSSIBLE TUMOR IN MY ARM. IM AT A LOSS OF WORDS, JUST TAKING EVERYTHING ONE DAY AT A TIME. I’VE BEEN TOLD TO EAT MEAT AND CHANGE MY DIET(IVE BEEN VEGETARIAN FOR 16 YEARS) CAUSE ITS MAKING MY BONES WEAK. I NEVER THOUGHT I’D BREAK A BONE FROM PLAYING MY DRUMS TOO HARD/ TOO LONG…EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I’M GONNA SPEND THE NEXT 6 WEEKS WITH MY BABIES AND PRODUCING….SEE YOU @ A SHOW SOON.

It’s been a tough week for Travis Barker. First his soon-to-be ex-wife and his current, er, "friend" Paris Hilton got into a little tussle at a club. Now he’s broken his arm. Damn!

According to his publicist, Travis Barker broke his arm while shooting a video for his band +44’s song "When Your Heart Stops Beating." A source close to Barker says that he actually broke his arm drumming. Wow. Does he have osteoporosis, or does he really rock that hard?

Doctors have ordered the former blink-182er to lay off the heavy lifting, and drumming, for at least 8 weeks.

It’s Paris Hilton, in her notorious brown wig, and Travis Barker. Hilton and Barker were spotted in the Red Light District of Amsterdam hitting up The Mansion club and Absinthe Bar. I want-to-be-famous Kim Kardashian tagged along as usual. Paris was probably reloading her stash of weed, while Barker was probably indulging in some legal prostitution since Paris has taken a vow of celibacy. I can so imagine Paris, Kim, Travis, some prostitutes, farm animals, and some kitchen utensils having a wild orgy in Amsterdam.

Don’t these three look suspicious. Trying to hide their bloodshot eyes. Everyone ran to the car, except Barker who tried to hide his face all sheepish like.
