Trace Cyrus, who the brother of Miley Cyrus, who is in the band Metro Station. Miley said recently of Trace:

"My brother will give me a beating if I’m being a brat to my mom because he’s such a momma’s boy."

Trace replied in another interview saying:

"I have to keep her [Miley] in line. She gets a little out of control sometimes. I definitely am a momma’s boy though. My mom loves me to death. I am a good, nice, kind gentleman, what can I say?"

Metro Station Keyboard player Blake added:

"Until he loses his temper and starts beating up on Miley."

The interviewer informs the boys about the Chris Brown and Rihanna domestic violence, so Trace says:

"Yeah, he should have waited until they were married. No,I would never hit a girl, except for Miley."

Poor effort at making a joke. Violence isn’t funny guys, but we know they’re only joking. We were hoping Trace would elaborate on what he meant when he said Miley gets “out of control” sometimes.

Disney is pimping the Miley Cyrus Breakout Platinum edition that will start selling November 18. This seems like too much too soon, but there is a bright spot. The Platinum edition will feature Hovering with Trace Cyrus of Metro Station.

The lesser known older half-brother of Miley Cyrus, Trace Cyrus (19), has been making progress in his own singing career. Trace is in a band called Metro Station, which released an album of the same name, back in September 2007. In the last week the second single from the album, Shake It, moved up 14 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 to the number 74 spot. So far the album has only sold 45,000 copies, which may not be much, but it’s a start.

The heavily tattooed Trace said:

"’Shake It’ was actually the last song we put on the album. It’s really taken off and become a fan favorite. Thank God we ended up putting it on there."

Amen.

Besides music Trace even started a clothing company called From Backseats to Bedrooms. That’s thinking ahead in case the music doesn’t work out.
