Jessica Simpson (28) looked like she gained a lot of weight over the holidays when she took the stage to perform at a country music concert in Pembroke Pines, Florida this weekend. Jessica, who dates NFL star Tony Romo, performed some of her songs during a Chili Cook-off event, hosted by a local radio station. Her career is hitting a new low.

Jessica might as well get pregnant so she has something to blame all that weight gain on, and she better hurry up because Tony isn’t going to stick around too long, unless he likes really chubby girls, which we doubt.

Tony Romo collapsed in the shower after the game where the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys 44 to 6. ESPN reports:

Team sources told ESPN’s Ed Werder that there was commotion and concern in the Cowboys locker room after the game when Romo collapsed in the shower. Players called for medical staff, who brought in a stretcher, but Romo walked out on his own. Romo then did his news conference but had to be helped from the podium. Sources said Romo suffered a rib injury in the second half, but he refused to answer questions about his health.

Blame it on Jessica Simpson. Fans don’t want Romo back for another losing season, but it appears fans won’t get what they want next year.

An insider says Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are "actively trying" to have a baby. The insider adds:

"I wouldn’t be surprised if Jess makes an announcement that she’s pregnant very very soon."

Having a baby is a good idea for Jessica. Her career is literally done. Although Joe Simpson will be offering to sell the baby pictures, I doubt there will be any interest. Times are tough, and no one wants to buy pictures that won’t sell magazines.

Having a baby with Jessica would be the biggest mistake Romo could ever make, besides marrying her.

Jessica Simpson was on 107.5 The River when she responded to a Carrie Underwood statement in Allure magazine that said Tony Romo still calls Carrie, who is Tony’s ex girlfriend. Jessica said:

"Tony and I both laughed at that. We got a chuckle out of it. I know it’s not true, I looked at his call log. I’m kidding!"

She’s not kidding. Jessica doesn’t trust Tony. He should have left when the getting was good.

Jessica also revealed something Tony has to put up with while he dates Jessica in the video above. Jessica likes to fart under the sheets. Does Jessica think that farting turns guys on?

Access Hollywood did a nice piece outlining how Joe Simpson ruined Jessica Simpson’s marriage to Nick Lachey, and put her relationship with Tony Romo in a tenuous position. Joe is even exposed as the person who sold daughter Ashley’s wedding photos to tabloids. I don’t think she objected. The one part of the story no one will ever forget, is how Joe talked affectionately about Jessica’s breasts.

Joe tried to excuse his over intrusive behavior with this quote:

“It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?”

“A parent will always be there for his kids and never give up on them. I work hard seven days a week for my girls because I love them. Why in the world would I ever want to do anything that would hurt my children?”

Uh huh, riiiiight.
