Queen Latifah Plays Gwen Ifill on SNL
Queen Latifah played Gwen Ifill, and Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin, on Saturday Night Live for their skit on the Vice Presidential debate.
The Sarah Palin Wink
In case you missed the Sarah Palin and Joe Biden Vice Presidential debate, here are the best parts.
Late this afternoon, Tina Fey finalized an agreement with Little, Brown & Co. for them to publish a book she will write. The book, which was reportedly pitched as a book of humorous essays in the style of Nora Ephron, will be edited by executive editor Reagan Arthur.
Ms. Fey’s agent, Richard Abate of the Endeavor Talent Agency, declined to comment.
The rumor earlier this week was that Fey had received a $6 million dollar offer to write a book after she portrayed Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live.
Tina Fey Plays Sarah Palin on SNL Again
Tina Fey is making regular appearances on Saturday Night Live to play Sarah Palin. Tina was pretty good the first time, but now her performance just seems old, tired, and juvenal. What struck me most about this skit, was how they tried to make Sarah look and act like Barack Obama.
I enjoyed the Presidential debate skit a lot more.
My favorite skit though, were the comments from Bill Clinton.
Sarah Palin Reacts to Tina Fey SNL Impression

Sarah Palin said she laughed when she saw the impression Tina Fey did of her on Saturday Night Live. Sarah’s spokesperson Tracey Schmitt said:
"She thought it was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween."
Ouch!
Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live

Barack Hussein Obama was criticized for remaining on vacation in Hawaii in August, while Georgia was attacked by Russia in an effort to get control of Georgia’s oil pipeline, and many people there died. This time when Hurricane Ike hit Texas, leaving 3 million people without power and life’s necessaries like water, Obama decided to cancel his guest appearance on SNL. What exactly Obama is doing to help Texans remains a mystery.
Although John McCain, and Sarah Palin, were not invited to make a guest appearance on SNL, they are working to help the people of Texas. Palin said in her final speech in Alaska before heading out on the road to rejoin McCain’s campaign:
“Today and in the days ahead the American heart is going to be on display. That’s what happens in times of tragedy and in times of crisis like we’re seeing again on the Texas coast. It’s a time when America’s best rise to the top, and our heart is displayed. America is going to stand shoulder to shoulder with the victims of Hurricane Ike’s fury.”
“As we’ve seen in other disasters, crisis on this scale can bring out the best in our country. They show the heart of good America in times like this and today once again it is time for Americans to pull together and to help where the need is greatest so I thank you for offering to help.”
On the home page of John McCain’s web site, he put information and a link up for people to help hurricane Ike victims in Texas.
