Sarah J, who is a Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader, is suing the web site TheDirty.com for libel. Sarah also works as a school teacher in Kentucky, claims in her lawsuit that the web site falsely alleged she contracted two sexually transmitted diseases from her allegedly cheating boyfriend. TheDirty alleges:

"Nik, here we have Sarah J, captain cheerleader of the playoff bound cinci bengals.. Most ppl see Sarah has a gorgeous cheerleader AND highschool teacher.. yes she’s also a teacher.. but what most of you don’t know is.. Her ex Nate.. cheated on her with over 50 girls in 4 yrs.. in that time he tested positive for Chlamydia Infection and Gonorrhea.. so im sure Sarah also has both.. whats worse is he brags about doing sarah in the gym.. football field.. her class room at the school she teaches at DIXIE Heights."

Nik Richie (real name Hooman Karamian), also claims Sarah and her ex-boyfriend also did it in the classroom of her school, which is likely the allegation the court would be most concerned with, since that behavior by many other female teachers recently, could get her fired.

Sarah was not named in TheDirty article, and she also identified herself as "Jane Doe" in her lawsuit, but TheDirty did post a picture of her in the article. We also have a picture of Nik from his DUI arrest from September of 2008.

Libel is difficult to prove, since Nik would have had to know for sure his allegations were untrue. How does one prove that? Nik can subpoena Sarah’s medical records to see if she was treated for STDs, which could be quite embarrassing if Nik’s allegations proved to be true.

Nik Richie (real name Hooman Karamian), who runs the blog The Dirty, was arrested for DUI in January of 2008, and pleaded guilty yesterday to the DUI charge. Karamian (29), who’s mug shot is pictured above, was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona after a cop spotted him speeding through a construction zone. The officer noted that Karamian was slurring his words, and a Breathalyzer test showed he had twice the legal blood alcohol level. According to the Smoking Gun, Karamian was not very eager to be in the DUI spotlight, although he loves putting others in the spotlight of shame:

When asked to take the breath test, the police report notes, Karamian agreed, noting that "he had a website where he posted DUI results." The Dirty advises its targets to "Learn to laugh at yourself or DON’T DO STUPID SH!T LOVERS!!!" and warns drunk drivers that their mug shot might be "plastered up in our hall of shame," which should make them "think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE, FOLKS." As an added bonus, "fans of the site can even comment on how big of an idiot you are for drinking and driving." While being processed by police, Karamian remarked that the cop "did not know the things he did for the community, and that a DUI would not be a good thing for him." When Karamian later refused to voluntarily provide a blood sample, he was strapped, yelling, into a restraint chair. That blood draw showed his BAC was .165, more than twice Arizona’s .08 limit. Karamian, whose occupation is listed as "website writer" on an arrest report, pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor drunk driving count during an appearance in Scottsdale City Court. He was ordered to pay about $2000 in fines and court costs, directed to attend an alcohol screening program, and sentenced to four days in jail. But that sentence, which begins Sunday, grants Karamian "work release" from 7 AM to 7 PM during the week (in this case Monday through Wednesday).

Karamian should take away one lesson from all of this. Don’t judge others harshly, because you might just look like a hypocrite later.
