Only yesterday Edit Pakay, a 28 year-old tennis instructor, allegedly told the Daily Mail all about her affair with David Duchovny, but Duchovny’s lawyer, Stanton Stein (Larry), says that he spoke with Pakay before and after the Daily Mail’s alleged affair story came out, and Pakay told him, “it is all lies and deceit.” Stein adds:

“Edit Pakay met with me personally before this article came out and told me she never had a sexual or romantic relationship with David.”

Stein says a woman from the Daily Mail named Caroline Graham contacted him before the story ran Sunday and asked for his comment. “I advised her that it was false and not to run with it, and she went ahead with it anyway.”

The lawyer claims they’re planning on filing a suit against the tab for the story about the affair.

Stein also said that on Monday afternoon, Pakay signed a declaration under penalty of perjury in which she states that she does:

"not have romantic feelings toward him and, based on our interactions, I believe that David Duchovny does not have romantic feelings toward me."

"The last time that I met up with David Duchovny was almost a year ago, in November 2007, when we made plans to play tennis. His personal trainer was also with us. Since November 2007, I have not seen David Duchovny, other than running into him briefly at the gym in March 2008 where he was working out."

That puts an end to this story. Pakay has legally retracted whatever statements she might have made. I’m not sure this will save David’s marriage with Tea Leoni though.

David Duchovny (48), who is getting divorced from Tea Leoni (42), allegedly had an affair with Edit Pakay (28) after she gave him some tennis lessons. Now Edit is talking, a lot. She says:

"We have a very, very close friendship. I don’t want to be the third person in the marriage but I know it can be seen that way."

"David and I are very close friends and we still play tennis together. He’s an excellent player. He likes physically strong, fit women."

"He is in great shape. He is a wonderful man. He’s a very intelligent, very kind and good man."

When asked directly if her relationship with the film and TV star had developed into a full-blown sexual affair, Edit said:

"I don’t want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it. I don’t know what our relationship means to him."

"I wasn’t instantly attracted to him. What is great about David is his intelligence and kindness. He is the sort of person you get to like more the more you know him."

Edit is a fame whore and a home wrecker. She loves rubbing elbows with stars, like Owen Wilson. Who knows how many stars she slept with. David should have known better.

David Duchovny was spotted with his wife Tea Leoni at the Czech Days Festival in New York City on Saturday, where he later ate pancakes. Exciting. David looks so happy in this picture, actually not so happy. He sure looked happier before rehab. That’s the look of someone who has gotten laid in a while. Why torture yourself like that? It’s not like he’s a priest.
