Kate Hudson and Dax Shepard broke up. Dax is rumored to have heard about it last after a friend called and said he’d been dumped. Too bad no one cares. Even if Dax tries to commit suicide like Owen Wilson, the news that candy was stolen from a baby by Britney Spears will top the headlines instead.

Yesterday Owen Wilson was at Venice Beach with his sober buddy, and a visible suicide scar on his left wrist. To successfully cut your wrist you need to cut parallel to hit one of the two arteries next to the bones, not perpendicular. This was both a cry for help, and attention. Please feel sorry for me. If I felt sorry for him, it would only make things worse. What he really needs is a real brush with death to snap him back to reality. If I were his friend I’d get a couple of guys together, kidnap him, keep him in a room tied up for a few days, tell him they won’t pay his ransom so we’re gonna have to kill him, and make him beg for his life. Then I’d blindfold him again, and drop him off near a pay phone with a quarter so he could call someone who cares. He’d have his sob story, attention, and he’d appreciate his life again. Plus he could tell everyone he fought off ten ninjas with only a toothpick, outran a train, made love to a beautiful girl after he saved her from a fate worse than death, and walked over hot lava with bare feet to get to a pay phone to call for help.

According to the Daily Mail, Amy Winehouse’s father has joined forces with her record label to gain control over her finances while she struggles with her addictions.

Amy’s new husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being painted as the bad guy in this scenario and the reason for the legal wrangling.

According to a source, unemployed Blake controls the cash. The source said: "Amy just hands everything over to him. . .

Mitch has told a friend he fears Blake’s influence will see Amy overdosing or committing suicide if he leaves or cheats.

“It makes me sick, he’s the reason she’ll die. I’m not going to see him get everything that she worked so hard for,” he told the friend.

After Amy and Blake were photographed covered in blood and scratches two weeks ago, they were spotted in a bank where she withdrew hundreds of pounds in cash, and then handed it over to her husband.

You know what they always say, "The couple that cuts together, spends all the money on drugs together."

Owen Wilson’s family is preventing Kate Hudson from speaking to him after his attempted suicide last week, according to NY Daily News:

A source close to the actress says her attempts to send regards have been rebuffed by Wilson’s camp. “Kate has been trying to get in touch with Owen and is distraught that the family doesn’t want her anywhere near him,” says a pal. “She is very frustrated.”

Owen’s family is also keeping him away from knives and drugs, which also contributed to his suicide attempt.

An attorney for Owen Wilson tells Access Hollywood that Owen did slit his wrists, but contrary to reports there was no drug overdose and he didn’t get his stomach pumped. The attorney adds that Owen had been taking antidepressants, but he was not aware of any other drugs in his system at the time of the incident. The Santa Monica City Attorney’s office says the 911 tapes will not be released. Here’s more:

“In reaching this decision the City believes that in many instances no person should have to worry about whether placing a call for emergency assistance will automatically make his or her medical request open to public review,” the City Attorney’s office said in a press release late Wednesday. “In balancing the competing interests, the City agencies outweigh the public interest served by disclosure of the emergency 911 call. In situation such as this, the City concludes that the public is best served if medical attention is promptly sought instead of being delayed because of a concern, real or imagined, of public attention, regardless of whether that publicity is sympathetic or not.”
