I have to give the Spice Girls credit for singing live, but they really should have lip synched this performance on Strictly Come Dancing when they sang 2 Become 1. Now I understand why their concert tour tickets aren’t selling very well, and are being sold at a discount.

The Spice Girls tour is losing steam already. Their first performance in London last Saturday was sold out, but their Sunday show was less than full, and tickets were still available as they started their opening number Monday night. Some ticket agencies were reportedly selling seats at the last minute at a one-third discount. The group will play Madison Square Garden Feb. 18, with top seats going for $149.50. Don’t be surprised to see tickets available at Walmart and Goodwill.

On December 18 the Spice Girls brought their kids onto the stage in London when they performed “Mama.” Victoria Beckham’s boys, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz wore POSH shirts. Emma Bunton introduced her four-month-old son, Beau, to the crowd. Melanie Brown had her daughters, Phoenix, and Angel, in attendance. Geri Halliwell’s daughter, Bluebell, was the only absent spice kid. Melanie Chisholm., who is the only member of the band who doesn’t have children, recently said, “I’d love to be a mother. The clock is ticking, so I don’t want to leave it that long.”

It’s not like Melanie Chisholm has any pressure to have kids or anything. In another 15 or 20 years there could be a second generation of Spice Kids taking the stage.

It might have been expecting too much for the Spice Girls to come up with more than a video trying to make them look all sexy. The song was just okay.

Melanie ‘Scary Spice’ Brown wasted no time as far as her love life goes—after splitting from ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy also the not-so-proud father of their baby girl, Brown insisted she’d finally found the love of her life.

The singer has been dating film producer Stephen Belafonte after the split with Murphy and admits she is ready to get marry for a second time.

She says, “He’s the love of my life and I am going to marry him.”

Brown, who was in a distressing paternity lawsuit with Murphy over their daughter Angel Iris, says Belafonte stepped up the plate to take role as the father of her three-month old daughter.

She adds, “Stephen’s been a godsend. Eddie hasn’t been in touch once since I had the baby–it’s unbelievable. But Stephen has been a tower of strength.”
