South Park Season 12 shows Steven Spielberg and George Lucas arrested for raping Indiana Jones. After seeing these clips I can see why the Chinese government had this episode pulled. Viacom isn’t too happy these videos are up on YouTube either, and they’re pulling them down as fast as they go up, but they love the fact the publicity is fattening up their South Park cash cow.

How do Star Wars and Indiana Jones fans feel about this episode?

The Pregnant Man on South Park

Mr. Garrison is the teacher on South Park who got a sex change to become a women, but after seeing the woman who is pregnant and yet claims she is a man, Thomas Beatie, on Oprah, Mr. Garrison realizes he was just confused and wants to go back to being a man. The only problem he needs a new penis. He gets one by the end of the show. Happy ending for Mr. Garrison, but for the child of Thomas Beatie, there will only be a lot of confusion and stigma from a society that will have a lot of trouble accepting a woman who says she’s a man. Society sees the reality that Beatie is a woman, but due to her own untreated psychological issues Beatie cannot accept herself for what she is, a woman with a desire to be a man. That condition is partially called penis envy, which Sigmund Freud identified in his work. Some call the majority of society homophobic for not accepting Beatie’s choice to live as a man, even though she has a uterus and a vagina, and is now pregnant. The truth is that Beatie needs psychological help because she is in reality a woman, who is going to bring a child into the world who will have to deal with Beatie’s psychological issues as well. It’s Beatie that needs help, not the majority of society.

Britney Spears is now immortal. South Park made an episode about the train wreck. The South Park kids pretend to be Britney’s kids, so they can get a picture of her to make quick cash, but it pushes Britney over the edge. This episode is just like real life. over the top, but so is Britney’s life. At the end the torch passes to Miley Cyrus.

South Park Gets 3 More Years

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the South Park creators, just scored a $75 million dollar deal to extend South Park for another 3 years. Under the deal, Parker and Stone will set up with US network Comedy Central South Park Digital Studios, which will see the animated show cross over into the digital world, with new projects also planned. They will also get 50% of the profits from projects created from the digital platforms. Here’s more:

Stone said: "Three more years of ’South Park’ will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people. And since Trey and I are in charge of the digital side of ’South Park’, we can offend people on their cell phones, game consoles, and computers too. It’s all very exciting for us."

South Park Ad Congratulates Show Creators

Today comedy central ran an ad in Variety to congratulate Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park, on their Outstanding Animated Program Emmy nomination. The episode which got them the nomination was the one where Tom Cruise is trapped in the Closet, and taunts his Scientology beliefs. Word is Cruise was really pissed, and he want to Kung Fu their butts.

Though the ad appears to be a humorous and timely takeoff on Gibson’s widely reported tirade against Jews, the timing is “pure coincidence,” Comedy Central spokesman Tony Fox said Tuesday. “It’s a little bit of an inside joke at our expense for pulling the Scientology episode,” Fox said. “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said they submitted that particular episode for Emmy consideration as a reproof to executives who initially refused to re-air the show, originally televised last November. Now it will compete for best animated program at the Emmy’s creative arts ceremony Aug. 19.

Though Cruise was widely rumored to have asked that the episode not be replayed – an allegation he denied – Fox said: “We’ve never commented on thatâ€¦. We were aware the ’South Park’ guys were unhappy. We told them we would put it back on the air.” “Trapped in the Closet” re-aired last week for the first time. Fox said Tuesday’s ad is in the Comedy Central tradition of being “topical and a bit of a thumb in your eye.” Still, it wasn’t as topical as it appeared, since the ad was designed and approved weeks before Gibson’s arrest on Friday, he said.

“South Park” previously made fun of Gibson’s film “The Passion of the Christ” in an episode called “The Passion of the Jew.” In that show, the characters visit Gibson at home when they can’t get their money back at the box office.

South Park Creators Are Sick of Tom Cruise Questions

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone regret mocking Tom Cruise and Scientology in a controversial episode of their show, because they are now constantly asked about him, and have a “Tom Cruise stink” on them. The duo skewered the star and his religion in the Emmy-nominated episode “Trapped in the Closet,” and are convinced the repeat episode of the show was pulled from the air last March because Cruise was unhappy with the material.

Stone says, “We just picked the wrong guy to parody. I have a feeling we’ll be asked about Tom Cruise for the next two years. Every time we’re in a headline, it’s like, Tom Cruise and then us in a headline, you start to get that Tom Cruise stink on you.”

Stone claims the duo chose not to grant any media interviews at the height of the controversy in March. He explains, “We didn’t do any press because we were just going to get in a pissing match with Tom Cruise, and we didn’t want to be in the same article as that guy.”

It would be so funny if it was discovered that Tom Cruise watched every episode of South Park, and owned the entire library on DVD.

South Park Banned From Showing Image of Muhammad

Wednesday episode of “South Park” was supposed to contain a scene of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, in reference to the famous Danish Muhammad image that caused Islamic zealots to indulge in rioting, arson, and murder throughout the Islamic world. Instead, the episode featured an image of Jesus Christ defecating on President Bush and the American flag. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, were indeed censored by Comedy Central. MSNBC reports:

Comedy Central said in a statement issued Thursday: “In light of recent world events, we feel we made the right decision.” Its executives would not comment further. As is often the case with Parker and Stone, they built “South Park” around the incident. In Wednesday’s episode, the character Kyle is shown trying to persuade a Fox network executive to air an uncensored “Family Guy” even though it had an image of Muhammad. “Either it’s all OK, or none of it is,” Kyle said. “Do the right thing.” The executive decides to strike a blow for free speech and agrees to show it. But at the point where Muhammad is to be seen, the screen is filled with the message: “Comedy Central has refused to broadcast an image of Muhammad on their network.” It is followed shortly by an image of Jesus Christ defecating on President Bush and the American flag.

In my opinion the episode of South Park should just be aired in the United States since our constitution allows for free speech, but not allow other countries to air the show. If anyone objects they can sue Comedy Central and challenge their constitutional right to air that content. South Park creators poke fun at everyone, and taken in that context an idividual or group could just let it be what it is, a show all about idiotic funny stupid stuff. Nothing to take seriously, just like other cartoons. Maybe this perspective isn’t so popular amongst everyone, but I don’t see Christians rioting after showing Jesus in a bad way. That said, I’m glad I live in a Christian nation where people tolerate others, even if they aren’t Christian.
