Shia LaBeouf Left Pinky Finger Amputation

Star magazine is reporting that Shia LaBeouf may have his left pinky finger amputated. Star quotes a source who says:
"Shia called producers yesterday and told them," the source on the set in Alamogordo, N.M. says. "It’s really thrown the movie into turmoil."
If you look closely at Shia’s finger in the picture of his left pinky, it doesn’t appear to have been injured at all, so Star’s story doesn’t seem believable at all. Good thing we have pictures.
The good news is Shia probably isn’t going to lose his pinky. There is some bad news however.
In May George Lucas told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival that he already had an idea for Indiana Jones V, and that it centered, not on Dr. Henry Jones, but on his son, Mutt Williams, played by Shia LaBeouf. Recently Lucas was asked by MTV News whether he still considered Mutt Williams a strong enough character to drive an Indiana Jones film. Lucas said that Indy just isn’t Indy without Indy, to put it another way, No. Lucas added:
“Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones. If it was Mutt Williams it would be ‘Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis’ or something.”
Looks like Shia won’t be taking over for Harrison Ford after all.
UPDATE:
LaBeouf publicist Melissa Kates responded to Star’s amputation claim saying:
"It’s a completely fabricated story."
Amen to that.
Shia LaBeouf Hand Crushed in Accident

Shia LaBeouf’s attorney Michael Norris said in a statement today, that Shia’s hand was "crushed" in the accident last weekend:
"The force of the impact immediately flipped Shia’s vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia’s left hand was crushed."
"Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then, his doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications."
"We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident."
Pictured above is Shia outside at the hospital having a cigarette. His hand is in a cast, and he’s wearing the same clothes he had on during the accident. Shia’s hand disfigurement had to be written into the Transformers 2 film. Hopefully his hand will heal properly. Is this injury going to affect his career as a leading man?

Michael Bay Believes Shia LaBeouf Was Not Drunk

The other day HG reported that Shia LaBeouf would claim he wasn’t drunk at the accident scene, because police did not perform a Breathalyzer, and he could say he appeared drunk to police because of the physical shock of the accident, and his left hand injury. Well that’s becoming the official story line.
Michael Bay, who is directing Transformers 2, gave the following interview to Access Hollywood supporting our prediction:
Shia LaBeouf was not drunk when he was involved in a collision that resulted in his truck flipping upside down on Sunday morning according to the actor’s boss, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” director, Michael Bay.
In a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush airing on Access August 1 and “The Billy Bush Show,” Bay claimed LaBeouf was not under the influence when his green Ford F-150 truck collided with another car in the early hours of Sunday morning. While authorities have claimed in the media that officers believed the actor was drunk when they reached the scene of the accident, Bay said LaBeouf’s arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence will not stick.
“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay said. “That’s fresh news… He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
In the hours leading up to the crash at the intersection of Fountain and LaBrea, LaBeouf attended a concert at the Los Angeles Troubadour music venue with his “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” co-star Isabel Lucas. A source claimed in Us Weekly the actor was drinking at the event.
“He was dancing around and acting really crazy,” the source claimed to Us. “He kept doing shots of whiskey.”
Shortly before 2:30 AM, another driver ran a red light, according to authorities who confirmed LaBeouf is now not being investigated for causing the crash.
Following the incident, the actor was taken to an area hospital where he was cited, arrested and booked on suspicion of DUI shortly before undergoing hand surgery at around 5:30 AM Sunday, the injury a result of the crash. The actor’s current condition might even be written into the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” script according to Bay.
“I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,” Bay said. “His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”
In a strange twist, Bay said he had a conversation with the 22-year-old actor about safety, days before his crash.
“We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle and I [said] ‘Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work,’” the director recounted. “He said, ‘Ok, I won’t ride it, I won’t ride it, I’ll just drive my truck.’”
Despite the incident on Sunday, Bay said LaBeouf has his head on his shoulders.
“The kid really has his head together and you know, he’s only 22,” Bay said. “He’s doing a great job on this movie. He’s really matured since the last one and I love working with him.”
We believe Shia had been drinking, but without any evidence of his blood alcohol level, or sobriety test results from the accident, no one can say for sure if Shia was drunk or not. No one has asked why police did not ask Shia’s blood to be tested in the hospital. We do know that Shia took responsibility while at the scene of the accident, and police have faulted the other driver for having ran a red light. It seems Shia deserves a break this time, and he’s getting it. Use it wisely Shia.
Selena Gomez on Live with Regis and Kelly
Selena Gomez made her first appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly on Thursday. Regis showed pictures of Selena and Demi Lovato when they were on Barney. Selena said she has a "huge crush on Shia LaBeouf." She said she isn’t dating anyone, but we already know she is dating Nick Jonas, but they both say it isn’t serious. Not serious yet.
Shia LaBeouf Took Responsibility at Accident Scene

Brian Perrulli gave a statement to Access Hollywood saying Shia LaBeouf took responsibility at the scene of his accident, rather than running away as others encouraged him to do. Access Hollywood says:
An eyewitness has come forward with new details surrounding Shia LaBeouf’s car crash on Sunday, including allegations that at least one person suggested the actor leave the scene of the incident.
Brian Perrulli was heading home from work in the early hours of Sunday morning, when he came across the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Fountain and La Brea in Los Angeles. After pulling over to try and help out, Perrulli said he overheard a man, who had been in the vehicle LaBeouf hit, telling the actor to flee the accident scene.
“Shia was tending to the other people in the car, signing over information, like insurance and stuff and basically, I overheard the guy tell him, ‘You should just get out of here and go,’ and Shia said, ‘Nah man. I gotta deal with this. My license plate, it’s my car. I don’t wanna go, I gotta deal with this.’”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, LaBeouf collided with another vehicle as he attempted to make a left hand turn in Hollywood in the early hours of Sunday morning. The green Ford truck LaBeouf and his female passenger were driving in flipped over.
LaBeouf, his passenger and a woman from the other vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment following the crash. While the two women were released, LaBeouf required surgery on his left hand. He was also cited, arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and released while at the hospital by the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department.
Perrulli claims he heard the man from the other vehicle, who has not yet been identified, say he would cover for the star.
“The guy Shia hit told him, ‘You should get outta here,’ and ‘I never saw you.’ He said, ‘I never saw you,’ and Shia said, ‘No, man, I gotta stay here and deal with this. It’s my problem,” Perrulli said.
While LaBeouf is due to head to court to face drunk driving charges, Perrulli said the actor did not seem intoxicated.
“He looked more disoriented and shocked more than drunk. I wouldn’t have thought he was drunk,” he said.
Shia would be in a lot more trouble if he had left the scene of the accident.
