Sofia Vergara talked about her son on The View, then it was mentioned her son was 18 years-old. Sofia then said she can’t lie about her age because people can do the math based on her son’s age, so Sherri Shepherd joke that Sofia was 12 when Sofia gave birth to her son, so Sofia went with the joke saying she was 13. Now it is being suggested that perhaps Sofia was serious. If Sofia was serious then so was Sherri, and we don’t believe either were serious. It was a joke.

Sofia is 37 years-old, so she was 19 years-old when her son was born.

Sherri Shepherd lost an amazing 41 pounds, 10 dress sizes, and 10 inches from her waist without drugs or surgery, so she has been making the rounds to show off her new body.

Sherri explains that the secret was finding activities that worked for her (she went with tennis and samba dancing) in order to phase out her trainer, who she refers to as “the evil one.”

Sherri said she thinks everyone needs a cheat day:

"Sometimes I just said ’I don’t want tilapia anymore; I can’t even deal with salad. I want M&M’s and Ruffles, and I’m gonna do it.’ But the difference was I was gonna get back up and go to the gym and keep my commitment. I never once felt like I deprived myself."

Star Jones, who did have gastric bypass, must be very green with envy, but she shouldn’t feel bad, because losing weight and keeping it off requires a lot of knowledge and understanding of eating, exercise, and supplements, which Star may not have, or hasn’t helped her like it did Sherri.

We applaud Sherri, and think it’s absolutely incredible how she has changed her health, and her life. Congratulations a thousand times.

We do want to caution dieters that cheat days can result in a craving cascade that can get you off your diet, and back onto bad food. Every time a person eats any carbohydrates, their body gets a dopamine release, as also happens with drugs, and that release causes cravings for more carbohydrates. A cheat day can become a train wreck without much effort.

We have read several studies that say 3 grams of L-Glutamine taken before or when you start to crave carbohydrates, especially sugar, can stop the cravings within 30 minutes. The same studies say the same amount of L-Glutamine can stop cravings for alcohol as well, which makes sense since alcohol is made with sugar (a simple carbohydrate).

Sherri Shepherd lost weight and trimmed down from a size 16 to a size 6. All that hard work so she could strut her stuff in a one piece bikini.

You look great Sherri.

In the video below Sherri’s doctors notes, 2:45 sec in the video, that Sherri is a type II diabetic, who is off all her medications now. The weight loss, exercise, and strict control of her carbohydrates got Sherri off her diabetic meds.

Some people need to keep carbs down to 40 grams per day to lose weight.

Sherri Shepherd commented on Brooke Shields getting drunk with multiple DUI alcoholic Kiefer Sutherland:

"I love Brooke Shields, I really do. But what the hell are you doing at a bar at 2 in the morning with Kiefer Sutherland? It made her feel hip but it’s like me and Andy Dick being out at 2 in the morning. Nothing good happens at 2 in the morning."

Shepherd should consider retiring right now, because what she said was probably the coolest thing she may ever say. It’s to the point, and dead on accurate.

The second coolest thing Sherri ever did was when she tried to kiss Cameron Mathison on the mouth, while holding him with a headlock.

The View co-host Sherri Shepherd (41) may be getting her own comedy series on Lifetime. According to the Hollywood Reporter:

The show, to star Shepherd, centers around a wife who accepts her spouse’s wandering ways, and lets his mistress and illegitimate child move into her household.

Are regular folks supposed to identify with that show? We’ll see how well it plays in the ratings.
