Nick Jonas (16) revealed on The Insider, on February 12, that he’s single, which means Nick and Selena Gomez broke up. Fast forward to the 2:35 mark in the first video below. I wonder if Selena knows yet.

The Jonas Brothers were on David Letterman last night where he got the boys, including Nick, to talk about ex girlfriends. You know the ones.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will be starring together in a Disney Channel movie called Princess Protection Program. Looks a lot like The Princess Diaries to us. The Princess Diaries was also made by Disney.

I thought Selena Gomez was not like Miley Cyrus, or Taylor Swift, when it came to writing songs about ex-boyfriends when she was quoted as saying, "I get so mad about ex-boyfriends, but if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it. They don’t deserve it!" Now she’s taken to her blog to clarify that:

There was recently a quote released about me saying that I don’t write songs about ex boyfriends, I may have been misunderstood and would like to clear that up. Most of my songs are about love, I am a 16 year old teenager and I sing about what is on every girls mind. Love. What I was implying was that the songs I sing about, the boys who have hurt me or that are no longer in my life don’t deserve a song to be written about them but, that’s impossible. Writing and singing is a gateway to sharing and getting out feelings. I hope that I have cleared up any confusion I may have caused to my fans! You guys rock and mean the world to me!

Although her message is a bit muddled, I think she is saying that some of the emotions she channels into her song writing might come from pain she had after being hurt by a boy, but the song isn’t specifically about anyone in particular. I suppose that’s still better than Miley directing a song to her ex, or Taylor doing the same. Public humiliation by writing a song about someone doesn’t seem right if it’s only out of spite, or for revenge.

Selena Gomez, who is the current girlfriend of Nick Jonas, is proving once again how different she is from Miley Cyrus. Selena told OK! magazine:

“I get so mad about ex-boyfriends, but if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it. They don’t deserve it!”

Taylor Swift should make a note of that advice too.
