Sarah Jessica Parker Was Lied to About a Dress

Sarah Jessica Parker is upset with Nina Ricci. Parker says Ricci assured her the dress she wore to the New York City premiere of Sex and the City had never been worn on the red carpet before. Parker says Ricci lied:

“In the big picture, this is not important, but there is a relationship between the entertainment industry and fashion. We’ve watched sales dwindle and we’ve watched people be less inclined to spend money on clothes. Look, my affection for the dress hasn’t changed, but what they did was so short-sighted. It’s just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again.”

Parker used the opportunity to take a justified swipe at the fashion industry for the betrayal. Fashion is a fickle, and delicate, industry. Fashion experts need to be very careful not to piss off the wrong people. Someone needs to make Parker an original dress, and send it to her for free, then she’ll be singing the praises of fashion once again. Do it!

Parker was pleased with the performance of her movie over the weekend. Sex and the City took in $55.7 million, while Indiana Jones took in $46 million. The Sex and the City budget was $65 million, so that was a good start.

A lot of publications are trying to make it look like Sex and the City is doing better than it really is, and those publications are comparing Sex and the City to Indiana Jones performance. When you look at the actually income for each day over the weekend, Indiana Jones remained steady all three days, and beat Sex and the City 2 out of 3 days over the weekend, and this is not the opening weekend for Indiana Jones. Sex and the City income dropped by more than half by Sunday, which means it fizzled out sooner than expected. Although Sex and the City opened better than expected, it isn’t fair to compare it to Indiana Jones, which continues to remain number one in overall income performance.

Sarah’s hat was made by Philip Treacy, who used peacock feathers to match Sarah’s dress. The hat may be an acceptable English idea, but it is way over the top. The hat worked though, since everyone was buzzing about Sarah more than anyone else at the premiere.

Sarah Jessica Parker Knows She’s Ugly - So What

Sarah Jessica Parker recently topped Maxim’s ugliest women top ten list, which included Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, and Sandra Oh (Oh Oh Oh). Parker said:

“What they don’t know is that one day I’ll wake up fat. But I’ll still be happy, just like I am now. I believe in the old ’sticks and stones’ philosophy, so frankly their words don’t come close to hurting. And it does not bother me in the least if people don’t think I’m sexy. I don’t think I am, either.”

She forgot to mention she’ll wake up tomorrow and she’ll still be rich, and married to a good looking Matthew Broderick. Parker is comfortable with who she is, and I find that sexy. It’s the beauty on the inside that counts the most.
