Kimora Lee Simmons Gets Phat Child Support from Russell Simmons

Kimora Lee Simmons got custody of her and Russell Simmons two daughters, Ming (9) and Aoki (6) on Thursday. Russell was also ordered to pay $40,000 a month in child support.
A judge also ruled on Thursday that Kimora, who has her own reality show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, ultimately decides whether or not to put her Ming or Aoki on her reality show. Sounds a lot like Denise Richards.
Kimora has a successful clothing line, modeling career, a reality show, and she’s already a multimillionaire. If she doesn’t NEED the money, then why does Russell still have to pay child support? Wasn’t child support established to help kids when money was "needed" to raise them?
We know Russell isn’t too happy with the custody arrangement since he asked for joint custody. Too bad dads are second class citizens in our very sexist society.

Russell Simmons Exposed a Tatum O’Neal Boob in Miami

Russell Simmons was at a beach in Miami with Tatum O’Neal, and her hotter black friend, when Russell suddenly reached over and exposed Tatum’s boob for the paparazzi lurking nearby.
Russell really needs to start spending some of his fortune on escorts in Miami. His frustration, and desperation, is starting to show.

Kimora Lee Simmons Gets Full Custody of the Kids

Kimora Lee Simmons (33) has won sole custody of her two daughters with hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons (50), Ming (8), and Aoki (5).
According to legal papers obtained by The Insider, Russell Simmons gets the girls one week out of every eight, plus extra time for summer vacations and holidays.
In addition, he pays $20,000 per child per month in child support. That cash flow stops when each reaches the age of 19 1/2, or until the daughter is emancipated, married, becomes self-supporting, joins the armed forces or stops living with Kimora Lee Simmons.
Finally, he’s required to buy or lease a car valued at $60,000 or more for the girls once every 24 months.
Simmons released this statement to set the record straight after the custody order was finalized:
"Friends of mine have forwarded me gossip online about my custody agreement details with Kimora. The fact is, we’ve had a pretty good partnership at sharing the girls in the past. There have been a few bumps in the road, and those bumps have led us to negotiate a minimum amount of time I’m guaranteed to see my kids. That deal is as follows: I have the girls one full week out of every eight, half of the summer, half of all the holidays, a full week at Christmas, and half of Spring Break. Like in all good partnerships, contracts are meant to protect the partners but are usually not the only way the partners work together. If I show up in L.A., where she now lives, unannounced, I can call up Kimora and she will most likely send them right over. The same goes for when she comes to New York. We have always had a school in New York and a school with the same curriculum in L.A., so when the girls are with me in New York, we can spend quality time together. I can get up with them, take them to school and just be together.
Kimora consults with me about doctors or schools for the girls, but she’s always had final say in those areas. If we had an argument about a school, guess who’s going to win? But there are other stipulations in our agreement where we have to make final decisions together. Anything having to do with business decisions pertaining to my kids cannot be done without my consent.
I’ve also seen a lot about people reading into the supervised visits stipulation. Kimora travels with a security guard and a nanny. In the past, she’s gotten really nervous that I never travel with security, so if it makes her more comfortable to have her security and a nanny with us when I’m with my kids, that’s OK with me.
Finally, I want to say Kimora is a excellent mother and is doing a great job with them. My kids are studying a couple of foreign languages, they travel around the world, they practice yoga, ballet, swimming, karate and piano, among other thingsā¦sometimes I think they do too much, but I trust in Kimora on this because she IS a good mother. Regarding the money, my kids live a tremendous life. They do have lots of security, nannies, educators, special programs, travel, chefs, on and on. Their mother manages all of those luxuries and I’m happy to provide for that.
With great love all things are possible.

For Russell and his daughters’ sake I hope the custody agreement lives up to his expectations.
Kimora Lee Wants Money

In Kimora Lee’s divorce filing in March, Lee (33) requested that Russell Simmons (50) get "reasonable child visitation … to be accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel."
Supervised visitation? Is Kimora accusing Simons of something, or is this just all about abusive power and control?
Simons, on the other hand, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of his and Lee’s daughters, Ming (8), and Aoki (5).
Kimora wants full custody, because joint custody means no child support. It’s wrong to use kids as a bargaining chip to get money from a daddy, just because the courts will let her get away with it.
My biggest pet peeve are people who use the kids to fight each other in a divorce. Set aside your own issues, and think about what the kids want first.
Kimora Lee Files For Divorce Again

Kimora Lee has filed for divorce from Russell Simmons for a second time. This time Kimora means to make it official. Kimora cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She is asking for legal and physical custody of the couple’s two daughters Ming Lee and Aoki Lee. In this petition she is not seeking spousal support.
Now here’s the knife in Russell’s back. Kimora asks that "reasonable child visitation" be granted to Russell, but that the girls be "accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel." In other words, Kimora wants Russell to have supervised visitation. Kimora seems to have issues with power and control. Fathers are treated like second class citizens by some women.
Russell released a statement through his rep, saying "Although I haven’t read the papers, I’m excited for closure on this issue. I love her to def and I will always wish her happiness and success."
