Wanda Sykes, who recently revealed she is a lesbian, spoke at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, where President Obama and his wife Michelle were seated next to the podium Sykes spoke from.

Sykes said of Rush Limbaugh that she thought he was the twentieth 9-11 high jacker, but she thought he was so strung out on Oxycontin that he missed his flight. Sykes even said she wishes Limbaugh’s kidneys would fail, and that he needed his own water board. The audience did not laugh, but instead gave more of a grown to indicate their discomfort with Sykes, but she continued.

Sykes spent her time speaking attacking and criticizing anyone associated with republicans or conservatives, even their non-political wives.

Our reaction to Sykes comments is that she is rude and inappropriate, as well as another angry lesbian who attacks anyone who doesn’t agree with her political positions on gay marriage. We expect inappropriate behavior from people like Sykes. Just because Sykes is a black lesbian doesn’t give her the right to engage in hate speech.

We were offended by Sykes racist remarks against white people. Racism of any kind at an official White House event is inappropriate. Sykes should be ashamed of herself, but we know she isn’t. We used to like Sykes, but after hearing what she really thinks, we realize what an ugly, and angry, person she is inside. What Sykes did was not comedy, is was personal attacks and racism disguised as comedy.

President Obama should denounce Sykes comments, and never invite her to any official function again.

Colin Powell was on Meet the Press tonight where he officially endorsed Barack Hussein Obama. I have always respected Powell, but after hearing his reasoning for endorsing Obama, I now find Powell’s motivation suspect. I know Powell was sincere in his endorsement, but he should have stopped there. The more Powell said, the more he sounded like a liberal democrat who strongly identifies with Obama because they are both black, and they both have liberal values, not that there is anything wrong with either. Powell waited until the last possible minute to announce his endorsement, so he wouldn’t risk his own reputation or future government appointments. The bottom line, Powell is an a$$ kisser, whether it be a democrat or republican a$$. I thought Powell was more of his own man, but I was wrong.

Rush Limbaugh said Colin Powell’s decision to get behind Barack Obama appeared to be very much tied to Obama’s status as the first African-American with a chance to become president. Limbaugh wrote in an e-mail:

"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race. OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I’ll let you know what I come up with."

As for Powell’s statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote:

"I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star general and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let’s hear it for transformational figures."

Limbaugh always makes good points, but there’s no reason to find fault in Powell’s comments, Powell himself has finally revealed who he really is, and I prefer it that way. We still need to make up our own minds, and vote for who we believe will be the best President for America. Don’t forget to vote.

I believe when you turn yourself in, rather than the cops picking you up, they call that booking and releasing, not arrested. I guess it adds drama to the story. It’s so cool when people smile for their mugshots. Read the report:

Rush Limbaugh was arrested Friday on prescription drug fraud charges. The
talk show host turned himself in to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department,
where he was booked on prescription drug fraud charges and released an hour
later on $3,000 bail.

The arrest coincided with a settlement between Limbaugh and the Palm Beach
County State Attorney’s Office in which Limbaugh was charged with a single count
of "doctor shopping." As part of the settlement, Limbaugh agreed to continue
seeking treatment for prescription drug abuse. He also agreed to pay $30,000 to
offset the cost of the criminal investigation.

Limbaugh pleaded not guilty to the charge. Nonetheless, the State Attorney
agreed to defer prosecution and dismiss the charge altogether if Limbaugh
complies with the terms of the settlement for the next 18 months.
