Robin Wright Penn has filed for divorce from her husband Sean Penn again.

The papers, filed in Marin County, California, on Aug. 12, state that "both parties have already agreed to [shared] custody" over their minor son, Hopper Jack, 16, and that "the estranged couple have already agreed to division of all property."

The reason for the split is listed as "irreconcilable differences." Wright Penn, best known for roles in The Princess Bride and Forrest Gump, is not seeking spousal support.

Together since 1989 and married in 1996, the couple endured a roller-coaster relationship, filing papers to initiate divorce not once, but twice – only to patch things up again as recently as May.

In an interview released Monday, the actress told More magazine that she had no plans to reconcile with her husband. Robin said:

"I hit that crossroad a while ago. I know what I don’t want."

I am actually hoping they just get it over with this time, so congrats, or condolences, or whatever. Life would be so much easier is marriages could end without a messy divorce.

About a year ago Robin Wright Penn has filed for separation from Sean Penn, then the couple tried to repair the marriage, but it seems the marriage failed again. Sean has now filed for legal separation on April 24.

The couple, who married in 1996, would have celebrated their 13th anniversary on Monday. They have two children together, Dylan and Hopper Jack.

We hope the couple remain civilized, and continue to raise the children together.

Sean Penn Allegedly went on vacation with his wife recently, and had a threesome in his seperate room while she spent her time alone. Star Magazine reports:

It all started innocently enough, according to the magazine, with an intended romantic getaway in Lake Tahoe, Calif. The couple checked in to the Squaw Valley resort just days before Christmas, but sources said Sean didn’t request couple-friendly accommodations.

“Sean didn’t spend much time with his wife – he booked her a separate suite – and when Robin Wright Penn got fed up with being alone, she went over to his suite,” an insider revealed. There, she “found him drunk with two Russian girls!”

Allegedly the actor continued to party the night away, while Robin was nowhere to be seen. “When asked where his wife was, he answered, ‘Who cares?’”

Penn doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who wouldn’t have a threesome, even though he’s married. Remember when he was trying to keep Eve out of jail after she was arrested for DUI? Why was he so interested in her? This isn’t the first story about Penn getting divorced because he cheated. There is a strong undercurrent of rumors Penn cheated, which means there may be some truth to that rumor.

Four days before she filed divorce papers in Marin County, California, on December 21, he was spotted dining on Christmas with a “very young, very attractive” brunette at San Francisco’s Café de la Presse restaurant.

“He seemed nervous and on edge,” fellow diner Rob Seide told Usmagazine of the actor. “He didn’t seem very happy.”

Penn originally filed divorce papers in Marin County December 7, his attorney Mindy Ross told Us, but the petition was dismissed December 18.

On December 21, Robin Wright Penn, 41, filed her own request for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Penn’s divorce papers listed November 30 as the date of their separation; she listed the split date as December 1.

The couple, who have been married for over 11 years, have two kids: Dylan Francis, 16, and Hopper Jack, 14.

“It was bound to happen,” added a source of their split. “He always seemed like a bachelor at heart and the kind of guy who just couldn’t be married for long.”

If Sean really was cheating it would be very low on a very long list of issues his wife had with him. At the top of the list is Sean is obsessed with President Bush. Remember when Sean went to Iraq, and said everything was great over there while standing with Suddam Hussein? That kind of behavior can be embarassing to his wife and kids. Sean’s political activities have continued to increase over the years, and his wife’s frustration with him had probably reached a boiling point. I believe that is what caused this marriage to end. If you meet Sean and you really want to get under his skin, just remind him that President Bush is still married. You might even meet his fist that day, fist to face.

Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirmed. The couple have been married 11 years, have two children together, Hopper Jack (14), and Dylan Frances (16).

Penn, 47, and Wright, 41, began dating in the early ’90s and married in 1996. They also have starred together in several films, including 1998’s Hurlyburly and 1997’s She’s So Lovely, directed by Nick Cassavetes.

"Marriage ain’t easy, but it’s great most of the time," Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. "I love Robin. I’ve always loved her."

In the same article, Cassavetes was asked about working with the couple. "The beginning and the end of every day is how Sean and Robin are getting along," he said. "If they have a bad morning, Sean’s broken up about it."

Sean is one of those people you can’t live with, and you can live better without.
