Rihanna Releasing a Box Set of Albums

Rihanna’s latest album, R Rated, is so bad her record company is releasing a box set containing her first three hit albums, Music of the Sun, A Girl Like Me, and Good Girl Gone Bad.

Rated R will be released on November 23, and the box set will come out on December 15. Looks like the record company is planning on poor record sales.

Knowing the album was going to suck Rihanna posed with very few clothes to help sell the album, but why settle for few clothes when you can see Rihanna with no clothes on.

Rihanna is Dating Tristan Wilds

Actor Tristan Wilds was invited to a party at the home of Rihanna in Los Angeles a few days ago. A friend says:

"No one knew why Tristan was there initially, because it was not an industry party, it was very intimate. But everyone quickly realized they weren’t meeting for the first time, because they were openly affectionate for everyone to see. He’s a real gentleman. She likes him a lot, and it shows. From the moment he walked into her party, Rihanna lit up."

Openly affectionate means Rihanna found a new pony to ride. The party was sort of a going away party, since Rihanna is heading to London to do some work. If Tristan jets off to London then these two have a relationship.

Anyone else think Wilds looks a lot like Chris Brown?

Rihanna Russian Roulette Producer Doing Damage Control

Chuck Harmony, who produced Russian Roulette from the new Rihanna Album called Rated R, is doing his best to explain how great the song and album are after a poor rating by fans. Harmony says the album will prove Rihanna is the Madonna of her generation.

"I sat through mix sessions and I heard some of the songs on the record. It fits in well," he said of "Russian Roulette."

Just saying it doesn’t make it true. In fact making such comparisons raises expectations, and makes a failure seem that much more like a career killer. There really is no comparison between Rihanna and Madonna, since Madonna created much of her own material, whereas someone else created Rihanna’s material. There is also nothing original about Rihanna. It’s all been done before.

Harmony then tried to explain how the darkness in Russian Roulette doesn’t reflect the entire album, because there are better songs than this one:

"I think Rihanna has captured what her old fans are used to, as well as the growth of an artist. Russian Roulette, to me, is a shining example of her growth and her artistic expression. Russian Roulette is definitely taking her to another level. I think she’s a pop icon, so her music should reflect that."

Here we go again. "Taking her to another level" is another statement that isn’t supported by the lack of spark in Russian Roulette.

Harmony then went on to explain how the half-dressed Rihanna on the cover of the album is "genius."

"It fits in with the song. The way it’s unfolding is so genius. Like, ’The wait is ova’ [message on her site]. I was waiting too. I wanted to see the cover, I wanted to hear the song. It’s one of those records where you just don’t know. It’s not a faith record. It’s one of those thought-provoking records."

We think the idea with the cover art was the old s*x sells. Maybe for the impulse buy, but there are better pictures of Rihanna wearing nothing at all on the Internet.

If you have "explain" how great a performer is, and how great the album is, you’ve already failed.

Rihanna has released her new single Russian Roulette, which was written and produced by Ne-Yo, whose long track record with Rihanna includes the #1 hit “Unfaithful”, their Top 10 duet “Hate That I Love You”, and #1 pop/ #1 R&B “Take A Bow”. In addition to Ne-Yo, other producers and writers on Rihanna’s new album include the team of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status, Stargate, Justin Timberlake and more.

Nothing Rihanna does, it seems, is written by her. She just performs what everyone tells her to do.

Rihanna, who suffered no legal consequences for hitting Chris Brown first, is out living it up at XS nightclub in the Encore in Las Vegas.

Rihanna doesn’t look like a battered girl. She looks like a tiger on the prowl. She even did a sexy photo shoot for Italian Vogue below. This girl is no victim. She’s too agressive.

Too bad the law doesn’t see women as equals in mutual domestic violence, especially when Rihanna swung first.

God help the love struck fool Rihanna lures into her web next. Men are living in world now dominated by women.

Chris Brown Speaks Out on Rihanna

Chris Brown told Larry King he doesn’t remember getting violent with her and is still shocked the incident happened. The interview with Larry will air on Wednesday. Chris said:

"When I look at it now, it’s just like, wow, like, I can’t, I can’t believe that, that actually happened."

Though a judge has ordered Brown to stay 100 yards away from her for the next five years Brown, 20, tells King that he is still in love with Rihanna, 21. He said it’s been "difficult" not being able to see her. (Asked about her dating other men," Brown said, "I definitely would be affected by it, but, at the end of the day, I mean, we’re not together, so, if she’s happy, I’m cool." He added, "We’ll always be friends."

Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault on June 22 in a deal that helped him avoid up to five years in jail. On August 25, he was formally sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labor service.

Brown told King that "everything comes with consequences. They want me to pick up trash remove graffiti. I’m a hard worker. It’s something I’m willing to do."

Along with his mother Joyce Hawkins, Brown told King how he grew up in an abusive home. Hawkins said her husband beat her, and Brown said he knew it:

"I used to be scared to go to bed."

But he said he is not blaming his past for the attack on Rihanna.

"Nobody taught us how to love one another. Nobody taught us a book on how to, how to control our emotions or our anger," he said. "I wish I could have changed that night."

"I just need to prove to people I can be a role model," Brown later said. "That’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be."

"I made a mistake," he continued, "and I, and it was just something I have to live up and own."

The greatest tragedy of all is that Rihanna is not being held responsible for her actions that night. Rihanna did a lot of things to provoke Chris that night, including hitting him first. As long as women are allowed to be violent with men with no consequences, men will continue to be victimized and abused by women, and then a court system that denies men the right to defend themselves, and instead holds the man responsible for the woman’s violence, and his response to it.

Rihanna has a problem with violence, and controlling her emotions. Rihanna should have received the same sentence as Brown. America has a long way to go before women and men are equal.

In my opinion, both Brown and Rihanna are equally to blame for what happened that night, and they should have faced the same legal consequences. They were both violent with each other, except Brown’s wounds are less physical, and more emotional, and emotional pain is far worse than physical pain, but that’s another topic altogether.

Chris Brown Apologizes

Chris Brown released a video taped apology for "the incident in February." If Brown had not mentioned Rihanna’s name, we might be confused as to what "incident in February" he was talking about.

In our opinion we believe this video was a huge mistake for the following reasons.

Chris did not appear to be sincere. When he mentions "role model" at the end of his statement it becomes clear he only released this video in an attempt to pursuade fans to buy his records again.

Chris read a statement that had already been written ahead of time, which is why he couldn’t look into the camera. A real apology isn’t read, it is stated from the heart without preparation, and with some emotion, which Chris did not display.

Whenever Chris would start to mention the "incident" he would close his eyes, because he doesn’t want to face the reality of what he was a part of, then he would nervously lick the side of his mouth.

Chris did not apologize directly to Rihanna in the video, but only alluded to a private explanation he gave to her about his actions.

Chris did not directly apology to fans either, but rather alluded to the disappointment he caused them.

There are so many things wrong with this video taped apology it’s hard not to pick it apart.

While we believe Rihanna is just as much at fault as Brown, we would advise Brown to attend some classes, read some books, mature some, and take some time before he issues a real apology. Brown’s acting skills aren’t sufficient to make us believe he is sorry for his part in the "incident in February."

Brown still has a lot to learn, and so does Rihanna. Since neither seem to have learned much, we will probably see both involved in more domestic disputes with other people in the coming years.
