As HG reported earlier today, Richard Quest was arrested early around 3:40 am on Friday morning in central park. At first reports said he was arrested for loitering and possession of methamphetamine. As it turns out Quest also had a rope tied around his neck and genitals, and had a sex toy inside his boot. He was obviously trolling for gay sex in the park, which is bit risky since the park has a curfew, and there are signs saying so everywhere. His excuse was that he "didn’t realize that the park had a curfew," and that he "was simply returning to his hotel with friends." Hahaha. Since he wasn’t exposing himself police didn’t charge Quest with lewdness.

Quest was reportedly once offered a position for the English-language version of the controversial Al Jazeera network, but said he turned it down because being gay and Jewish, he didn’t think it would be a good fit. The sex toy in his boot however, did seem to be a good fit.

Richard Quest, who is a CNN International business travel specialist, was arrested yesterday for possession of methamphetamine. Police said he was wandering around after curfew in Central Park around 3:40 am. As police were escorting him out of the park he VOLUNTARILY told them, "I have meth in my pocket." Sure enough, police searched him, and found a ziploc bag of methamphetamine.

Quest was arraigned the same afternoon in Manhattan’s Criminal Court by Judge Anthony Ferrara. Quest will have his case, and criminal charges, dismissed if he attends drug counseling and therapy for the next six months.

As for CNN, they had no comment.
