Britney Spears Test Positive for Amphetamine

Britney Spears tested positive on her drug test for amphetamine, which could be any amphetamine including methamphetamine, but the specific drug was not identified, yet. Yesterday a Britney source said the test was a false positive and probably showed Provigil was present, which is a drug used by some to treat cocaine and methamphetamine addiction. Today the same source claims the drug that showed up was Albuterol used to treat asthma from her inhaler. Albuterol is not in the amphetamine class of drugs. Now it looks more than likely that Britney has been abusing drugs again, and although it could have been a prescribed legal amphetamine, the fact is she isn’t coming forward to say what the drug is, which makes her look like she’s hiding something.
Tomorrow K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, will address this issue tomorrow in court. A failed test is a failed test. It’s not like Britney ate a poppy seed muffin and tested positive for opiates. It was a very serious and addictive amphetamine. Britney needs rehab.

Britney Spears Fails Drug Test

Britney Spears failed her drug test, but her people say the drugs were legal. OK! reports:
“The only thing that came up on the results was the prescriptions the court doctor prescribed. There has been no illegal drugs or even alcohol in any of the results.â€
The drug that showed up in the results is Provigil, an anti-narcolepsy drug, which Brit has been photographed carrying. The source goes on to say that if the 25-year-old had flunked, her visitation rights with her sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, would have been revoked.
“If she had tested positive, she wouldn’t be with the boys right now. There are no illegal drugs in her system. Someone is making s*** up. This case is sealed and no one has access to the results at all.â€
Provigil is used to treat cocaine and methamphetamine addicts, ADHD, and the condition everyone knows Britney doesn’t have, narcolepsy, because if she was narcoleptic she couldn’t drive safely. Provigil’s manufacturer recommends not driving because Provigil may affect your judgment, thinking, or motor skills. Provigil may also decrease the effectiveness of hormonal birth control, and it can be as addictive as cocaine.
The commissioner needs to put his foot down. No drugs means no drugs. If Britney can’t kick her addiction without replacement drugs then she needs rehab, again. Even though the court records are sealed, there is always someone crooked who is willing to leak the information even if they don’t get paid. That’s what public servants do sometimes.
Update: One report says although the drug test was positive, the substance found was not Provigil. I don’t think she tested positive after eating a poppy seed muffin, so a positive test still means she was taking something she should not have been.
