Rose McGowan Gets Engaged and Loses a Movie Role

Rose McGowan was being considered for a starring role in â€œSpeed Racer,â€ but the studio felt her plastic surgery left her unrecognizable. Here’s more:

McGowan, 34, has admitted to having plastic surgery for an eye injury related to a car accident. But casting skeptics suspect she has had much more done, and that it cost her the role. "The studio felt like she was hard to recognize and worried that by the time the movie hit theaters, fans might not know who she was," says our insider.

When has plastic surgery stopped an actress from getting a role? You should have seen her before the accident. It’s faces like hers that they make halloween masks out of. In porn plastic surgery is considered a prerequiste. If the report said she didn’t get the role because she was too old to be believable, then I’d believe it. Rose wasn’t the only one passed over. Zac Efron was up for the title role, but wasn’t the right fit:

â€During his auditions, Zac never connected to the romantic lead in the reading,â€ says our source. â€œBy the second round, the casting crew didn’t feel he was believable as a leading man/hero.â€

Zac looks completely gay. The only role he could play as a leading man that would make sense is something that requires a gay man like High School Musical. If they had switched the roles around and had Zac play the girl, and Rose play the guy, then it might have worked.

Rose McGowan and director Robert Rodriquez got engaged the other day. Now that her acting career may be in a bit of a slump she’s resorting to her back up plan. Bang a guy with some money while she’s still hot enough to hook him, then live on his money after the divorce. Men’s back up plan is winning the lottery. Here’s more:

Spies in L.A. report she’s been showing off a new diamond engagement ring from director Robert Rodriguez. McGowan met Rodriguez on the set of "Grindhouse" when he directed her as a peg-legged ex-stripper in his half of the double feature, "Planet Terror." He was soon divorcing his wife.

Not long after these two are married Rose will divorce him, take as much money as she can, and everyone will pat her on the back for screwing over a cheating man. All he’ll have left is one hand full of his manhood, and the other hand full of lottery tickets.

Demi Moore Denies She’s Getting Old

Demi Moore is 44 years-old, and she still wants to be in her twenties. Who doesn’t? Demi isn’t getting the roles she wants so she’s speaking out against Hollywood. Here’s more:

"It’s been a challenging few years, being the age I am. Almost to the point where I felt like, well, they don’t know what to do with me. I am not 20. Not 30. There aren’t that many good roles for women over 40. A lot of them don’t have much substance, other than being someone’s mother or wife."

Her ex-husband and the father of her three children, 52-year-old Bruce Willis, has appeared in 13 films, including the action thriller Live Free Or Die Hard.

Miss Moore, who once commanded an estimated $12 million a film, told Red magazine she wanted to overturn the belief that juicy roles should not be given to older actresses. "If we are told we are not valuable once we hit 30, it is a problem," she said. "We all have more to give. We can’t just wait for something to happen. We have to say, ’I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more’."

I’m taking Hollywood’s side. I don’t want to see sagging breasts in sex scenes, and lifeguards on Baywatch with butts that drag in the sand. Hollywood may be the land of make-believe, but aging is real. Demi married a younger man so she could try to stay young herself, but at some point she needs to start acting her age, in real life and in the movies. The report goes on to say Demi spent over $500,000 on plastic surgery to keep herself looking young. Father time doesn’t take bribes, he takes your youth, and gives you wisdom in return. If Demi is frustrated because she can’t get parts meant for younger actresses, then I don’t feel sorry for her at all. Actors play real people on screen, and if you’re 44, then you play a 44 year-old, or at least an age that fits you. It’s true that Bruce Willis is still in action movies, which are a heck of a lot of work for a 52 year-old, but the movies don’t present Bruce as a twenty or thirty year-old action hero. In Bruce’s movies he’s his own age. Unless Demi discovers the fountain of youth, she’s either going to have to take roles meant for women her own age, or give up acting altogether.

If Demi does get a role meant for a twenty or thirty year-old I hope it’s a comedy. At least that way when people laugh, she’ll think she did a good job.

Jessica Simpson: My boobs are real

Jessica Simpson realizes when gravity takes a toll on her ‘assets’, she will consider plastic surgery.

In Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Simpson address the issue stating, “But maybe after having kids, if my boobs dropped down to my bellybutton, I would get them lifted… but you know, my boobs are real.”

But overall Simpson says she is happy with her looks. ”I love the bump in my nose,” she says. People have said that I’ve had things like a jaw replacement or implant or something. I’m photographed every day of my life and have never worn any bandages or anything, so how could that be right?”

The singer is also working on getting a little extra something in the back for her upcoming movie, Major Movie Star. ”I’ve started with a trainer, Harley Pasternak,” she says. “He’s given me a butt, because I have white-girl syndrome. I have to do as many squats as I can to get a little booty. … I have to be [diligent]. I’m a curvy girl. You don’t want to see me not working out.”

We were actually surprised. This "exclusive" is apparently all about wearing the right clothes for your body, standing up straight, Spanx, etc.

The first thing that popped into mind, after stylists of course, was crystal meth. Or maybe stylists AND crystal meth, the fastest route to sub-size-zero.

Next thing you know, the magazines are going to start telling us that the "secret" to weight loss is stop eating so much and get your ass in gear…and that, along with personal chefs, celebrity trainers, hours in the gym, and plastic surgery, is how the stars do it.

To the people who are surprised: did you think she was just drinking from Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth?

We should have known Demi had been getting some tweaks. We’d just commented on how fresh-faced and terrific she’s been looking, even standing next to youthful hubby Ashton Kutcher.

Jennifer Aniston Says She’s “Better Every Day”

Last night, Jennifer Aniston joined other celebs, like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, at a Hollywood book party for Laura Day.

The topic of Day’s book, "Welcome to Your Crisis: How to Use the Power of Crisis to Create the Life You Want," was the perfect lead-in for Access Hollywood’s short interview with Aniston.

Speaking about what the book meant to her:

"It’s not about ‘crisis’ so much, as is it about every single person who goes through something in their life — whatever that may be," Jennifer said.

"It’s just about understanding your personality, in a way, so that it’s not sort of a group decision on how people approach things," she said. "It’s very individual."

…As she told Access last night, "I’m better every day, babe."

Well, she certainly looks good, but it’s Demi Moore who, in the video, looks younger than she has in years. It’s astonishing.

If we didn’t know any better, we’d think the footage was from the 80s. Either that, or Demi’s sold her soul to the devil.
