Angels and Airwaves, formerly Blink 182, is releasing their third album called LOVE on February 14, 2010. Frontman Tom Delonge says about the film that will accompany the album free:

"It’s super conceptual and highbrow in many ways, very artistic, very Stanley Kubrick…But it’s not a rock opera. It’s a very modern version of what could happen when you blend the film industry and the music industry together in a very, very arty, kind of cool way with professionals involved all along the path."

Delonge also adds that the film is very much like Pink Floyd’s The Wall.

The band still sounds like Blink 182, and although they are trying so very hard to copy Pink Floyd’s creativity, they will never be Pink Floyd. How about being original? Not Pink Floyd, not Blink 182 take 2, but rather Angels and Airwaves.

Pete Doherty fancies himself some sort of creative genius, and uses drugs as a gateway to tap into his creative side. What he doesn’t see through his drug fueled haze, is that he’s nothing but a musical, and creative retard, when he’s on drugs.

They wouldn’t allow it to be embedded, so I took the opportunity to post a video of a real creative genius, who went mental just a few years after founding the band Pink Floyd. The artist I speak of is Syd Barrett, and this song called Bike is one of his first to make it into the public realm. Read more about Syd here. He’s far more interesting than Pete could ever hope to be.

In the video only the Pink Floyd members are shown. By the time this video was made Syd was already loony.

Richard Wright, who was a founding member of Pink Floyd, died at the age of 65 from cancer at his home in Britain. Very sad news.

Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd, played Coachella on Sunday. During Waters’ performance his two-story high inflatable pig floated away. He said as it flew away, "That’s my pig." He would like the pig returned. If you’ve seen a flying pig email lostpig@coachella.com. Waters is offering a $10,000 reward.
