Was Broken Heel or Sarah Silverman Cause of Bad Britney Spears Performance at 2007 MTV VMA?

The Internets are ablaze this morning with theories explaining Britney’s wooden performance last night.

Photographic evidence of a glittering broken heel is being touted as the reason Brit appeared to stiffly walk through the number, barely moving her hips.

X17 is reporting that Britney Spears was suffering an impediment of a more emotional nature:

A source tells X17 Brit found out about Sarah Silverman’s crappy line about Britney’s babies just moments before she took the stage to perform "Gimme More."

Needless to say, Britney was PISSED! … as any mom would be. Britney was so upset she walked through her performance just to get it over with (despite encouragement from her friends, including Sam who was apparently yelling at Sarah backstage) to skip out on it all together).

She held up her end of the bargain and got a major slap in the face from Sarah.

We’re sure other excuses for Brit-Brit’s uncomfortable-looking routine will continue to pop up today.

We’d like to float our own theory that Britney had her Cheetos power snack way too close to curtain call.

You simply cannot shake your money maker with real feeling when you’re still digesting such cheese-flavored goodness.

Even if you do somehow get the orange stains off your hands in time.

Amy Winehouse’s Dad Says He Wants to Control Her Money to Save Her Life

According to the Daily Mail, Amy Winehouse’s father has joined forces with her record label to gain control over her finances while she struggles with her addictions.

Amy’s new husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being painted as the bad guy in this scenario and the reason for the legal wrangling.

According to a source, unemployed Blake controls the cash. The source said: "Amy just hands everything over to him. . .

Mitch has told a friend he fears Blake’s influence will see Amy overdosing or committing suicide if he leaves or cheats.

â€œIt makes me sick, he’s the reason she’ll die. I’m not going to see him get everything that she worked so hard for,â€ he told the friend.

After Amy and Blake were photographed covered in blood and scratches two weeks ago, they were spotted in a bank where she withdrew hundreds of pounds in cash, and then handed it over to her husband.

You know what they always say, "The couple that cuts together, spends all the money on drugs together."

The photo below illustrates the toll her career and the drugs and perhaps the hubby have had on her.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that she may not survive this.

Admit it: It’s hard to get mad at celebrities who lash out at the Paparazzi. Especially when they’re hot women. Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards have reportedly reached a settlement with two photographers who had a run-in with the sultry stars last year on the set of their upcoming movie, "Blonde and Blonder."

So the story goes, Richards and Anderson went bonkers on the two paps, calling them f-ing c–ksuckers, scumbags, douche bags, and paparazzi scum. A laptop computer was also thrown from a building, allegedly injuring an elderly, wheelchair-bound woman.

How was this awesome moment not caught on video?! Hopefully someone has it and we’ll get to see it someday.

The settlement details are confidential, but obviously the girls had to cough up some dough. It might have been worth the cash to get to kick a little paparazzi azz, though. Call it a catharsis.

Yes, we know that Britney should be home taking care of her neglected and badly fed children but, with Brit Brit, it’s all about baby steps! Out with cousin Alli, who is trying to become a pop star herself, she actually wore clothes! There is nary a boob or a vajayjay in sight! We’re hoping that this is a glimpse into the future for Britney.

Louis Vuitton Bans Pilferer Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan appears to have made enemies throughout the industry. Now that she’s safely confined to a real rehab facility, folks are coming out of the woodwork to dish on her very bad behavior at an Elle Magazine photo shoot a couple of months ago.

According to the New York Post:

"Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot," said a snitch. "Lindsay, kept shoving the clothes into her bag, and a stylist’s assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them. She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items – which screwed Louis Vuitton because they were set to go to Vogue, W and Harper’s Bazaar for other shoots.

They were furious and kept trying to get their clothes back, but . . . Lindsay walked out with them and never returned calls." The issue hits stands today, in which she’s asked about the photo shoot and replies, "I wanted everything. There was this Cartier watch, and I was like, ‘What do I have to do to get this watch?’ "

Don’t you wish that just once, someone would answer that kind of question from the likes of Lohan with a simple, "Buy it."

These things come in threes, so along with Britney’s photo shoot shenanigans, we’re sure to hear any day now about another Hollywood bad girl bitching it up as she gets snapped for a magazine cover.

You’d think the headaches would drive the mags back to the more professional and generally more stable supermodels as cover subjects, but it doesn’t.

Lindsay Lohan May Have Been Chased, Not Chasing

Despite reports that the police were called by a person allegedly being chased by drug-crazed, intoxicated, SUV-driving Lindsay Lohan the other night, tipsters are indicating that Lohan was the chasee, not the chaser.

Sources connected to Lindsay tell TMZ both Lindsay, who was driving a Denali, and the Escalade in front of her, driven by the mother of Lindsay’s former assistant, were both being chased in a "unsafe and threatening" manner.

We’re told there may have been more than one vehicle chasing the duo, though we do not know the identities of those drivers. We could not confirm if paparazzi were chasing the cars. One thing we do know: there are no known photos of the incidents.

Speculation that the paparazzi were involved is building, but that seems like another convenient excuse. Next we’ll hear that before they chased Lindsay, the paparazzi forced her to shotgun a six-pack and slipped a bag of coke into her front pocket.

Oh…and handcuffed her to the steering wheel and told her that if her speed dipped below 50, a bomb they planted would go off.

Damn photographers.
