Patrick Swayze is reported to have pancreatic cancer, which is fatal. The National Enquirer reports:

For the past month, Patrick, 55, has been traveling to Stanford University’s prestigious cancer center in Palo Alto for radical chemotherapy, but his doctors are no longer optimistic that the treatments will be successful.

Patrick and his wife Lisa Niemi — who both have pilot’s licenses — have been flying their private Beechcraft plane into Palo Alto’s airport, minutes away from the Stanford Cancer Center, where the actor has received outpatient treatment.

He received three doses of chemotherapy and the tumor shrank, but less than his doctors had hoped for — and Patrick was told he should prepare for the end.

"He was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short – they held out little hope for a cure," said an insider.

Patrick’s rep confirmed the news is true, and the cancer has spread to other organs, so he will not be with us much longer. Best wishes to Patrick and his family. I’ve got my fingers crossed that a miracle happens, but even that looks unlikely.

Patrick Swayze checked into the Stanford University Medical Center over the weekend for a serious "gastro-intestinal procedure," a friend said. Swayze has since been released and, according to his rep, is "home and happy." Maybe he had his appendix removed.

Sharon Osbourne’s dog has plenty of bite like her owner – after sinking its teeth into Hollywood star Patrick Swayze.

The Pomeranian pooch, named Minnie, lunged at the Dirty Dancing star as he was interviewed on Sharon’s ITV1 chatshow last night. Wary Patrick came on and said: “Hello Minnie, you’re looking as though you might bite my head off.”

But tough-talking X Factor judge Sharon insisted: “No, she’s lovely, a lovely little dog.” Then the dog pounced, causing the surprised actor to yell: “You don’t mess with Minnie!”

Shocked Sharon said: “She didn’t mean it – she bites me all the time!”

Meanwhile, she admitted during a chat with X Factor’s Chico that she has put on some weight after “shovelling down fish and chips”.
