Tom Cruise (pictured above) is on the set of the new Ben Stiller movie Tropic Thunder. The movie includes Robert Downey, Jr., and Matthew McConaughey. Owen Wilson was also cast, but he pulled out after his suicide attempt. Katie Holmes was also said to have made a cameo, but those rumors have been debunked. Is this what Tom will look like in ten years? Tom is doing a lot of these less than blockbuster movies lately. He must need some good press, which Lions to Lambs certainly did not provide.

Owen Wilson has been spotted in New York City with a new lady, who has been identified as a model named Le Call. The couple, photographed here leaving Wilson’s New York apartment, attended a private dinner for English artist Damien Hirst and practiced yoga together earlier this week, according to The New York Post.

"Le Call is totally overwhelmed by all of this attention. She isn’t used to it. So they will be leaving town tomorrow to escape, and traveling a great distance," a source close to the couple told People magazine.

Page Six reported yesterday that Le Call borrowed a $1,000 umbrella from Nello Balan when she left his eatery over the summer and returned it just last week, cracked in two pieces.

The important thing is that Owen is over Kate Hudson, and happy again.

Kate Hudson has recently been with Owen Wilson, Dax Shephard, Dane Cook, and now Page Six says she made out with Heath Ledger at Beatrice Inn. Kate’s rep said:

"This is absolutely untrue. They ran into each other and chatted briefly, but that was the extent of it."

The Page Six spy stands by their story. Let’s take Heath out of the list of guys Kate was just with, and you’ve still got a huge slut … and a hot slut.

Owen Wilson is said to be peeing with the stall door open so everyone knows he’s not on drugs. If that’s the case then why doesn’t he use the urinal since none of those have doors? Page Six reports:

"Despite having been spotted enjoying an occasional cocktail, Kate Hudson’s ex is trying to prove he is not partaking of any other substances … He was with a girl with blond highlights," said our spy, "and he went to the bathroom and peed with the door open." Wilson, who is currently in New York, has been spotted frequenting various hot spots, including the Beatrice Inn, where one reveler spotted him at 2:30 yesterday morning "surrounded by two or three younger girls." Asked about the open stall door, Wilson’s rep responded, "Can you blame him? He’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. If he tries to protect himself from innuendo and lies, it gets used against him."

The best news in this report is that Owen was surrounded by younger girls. He must be feeling better, and that is good news. I hope his next movie is a good one, because I can’t wait to see it.

According to Star Magazine Owen Wilson and Jessica Simpson were spotted on date. The two apparently ate together on Sunday at the Huntely Hotel in Santa Monica, after which Star reports, they went back to Owen’s house in Malibu. Why Malibu? Why not Owen’s Santa Monica house that he shares with his uncle Joe? They could have shared Jessica.

Owen and Jessica were in Austin, Texas on October 16 to do a video with Willie Nelson. I’m hoping Jessica does what she always does, wham bam thank you man. No strings attached, which is the last thing Owen needs right now, but he could use a good _ _ _ _.
