Oprah Winfrey Ex Headmistress Denies Cover-up

Nomvuyo Mzamane, the former headmistress at the Oprah girls school, said she had no knowledge of any abuse of students, and would not hide it if she did. Oprah announced that Mzamane’s contract would not be renewed, which means she was fired. Oprah proved in this case that pouring money into a corrupt country doesn’t always fix problems. In this case it would have been best for Oprah to put people from the U.S. into positions to oversee the school officials, and check on students. Trust is earned.
The dormitory matron at the center of the sex abuse scandal is Tiny Virginia Makopo (27), who faces 13 charges of indecent assault, criminal injury committed against at least six students aged 13-15 and a 23-year-old at the school. Makopo, who said she was innocent, was freed on bail Monday.
Oprah Speaks Out On Sex Abuse Scandal

Oprah Winfrey spoke out today on the sex abuse scandal that has rocked her newly opened Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. The dorm matron that was arrested is now out of jail on bail. The matron’s name is Virginia Mokgobo. At today’s press conference Oprah said:
"I was, needless to say, devastated and really shaken to my core when I first heard this news. When I first heard about it I spent about a half-hour going around my house crying. No one can destroy the dream I have held, and each girl continues to hold, at the school."
Not having men involved in the school was supposed to eliminate the possibility of sexual abuse, but as Oprah has now learned the perception that men are always the perpetrators, and women are always the victim, is a myth. More than anything, Oprah’s team of professionals need to insure the safety of the girls at her school by making sure the girls are never again isolated and unable to communicate with whomever they wish. This morning Fox News debated the question of whether Oprah could be found liable for what happened, but the overall consensus was that she wouldn’t be. Hopefully something good comes out of all of this in the coming years. Click here to see part of Oprah’s statement.
Oprah Sex Scandal Students Could Not Call for Help

Police in South Africa have arrested a former employee (matron) at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy on charges of physical and sexual abuse. Police have not released the former employee’s name. Students allege the dorm matron threw a student against a wall after first grabbing her by the throat, the matron swore, screamed at and assaulted other students, and attempting to solicit students for indecent acts. The victims were unable to get help because they were prohibited from calling or emailing their families except on weekends. From the opening of the school, parents protested those contact restrictions, but were ignored. Now Oprah has given each girl their own cell phone and her personal phone number. How about putting the police number on speed dial as well?
David Linley is the Royal in Royal Sex Tape Scandal

David Linley (45) is the royal that was not supposed to be named in the blackmail extortion plot in which two men were arrested after demanding money. The two men demanded £50,000 from 45-year-old Linley in return for footage allegedly showing a royal aide talking of gay sex with him. The aide is also allegedly seen on a video tape taking cocaine from an envelope embossed with Linley’s name. Talking about gay sex? Ha ha ha ha ha! That’s why they were only asking for £50,000, it’s not even a sex tape.
About the Lord, David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley (born 3 November 1961), known professionally as David Linley, is a member of the British Royal Family, the son of Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon and 12th in the line of succession to the British throne. Lord Linley also has a relationship with Oprah … he made her a desk. Lord Linley is a manufacturer of furniture, upholstery and interior design products known for their neoclassical appearance, dramatic use of inlaid woods, and attractiveness to high-profile clients, such as Oprah.
It’s just too bad it wasn’t Prince Harry.
Oprah Winfrey Child Abuse Scandal Widens

Oprah Winfrey on Sunday met with the parent of students from her all-girls academy to address charges of sexual and physical abuse. The students often complained of being grabbed by the neck, beaten, thrown against a wall, being sworn at, and one student claimed she was fondled. Finally after some students ran away from the school because the abuse had become so severe. After all this Oprah finally called an emergency meeting to tell parents of students:
"I’ve disappointed you. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry."
Sorry doesn’t mean much after the fact, especially since the problems have not yet been solved. Oprah’s school just opened, and already it’s completely out-of-control. Sad.
