Paula Abdul Desperate to Get Back on American Idol

paula abdul quits american idol Paula Abdul Desperate to Get Back on American Idol

Paula Abdul let her ego get the best of her when she rejected the salary increase from American Idol.

Despite reports that Nigel Lythgoe wanted Paula on So You Think You Can Dance?, it has become very clear that Mary Murphy does not want Paula on the show at all. It appears most agree with Mary, so Paula will have to look elsewhere for employment.

Paula bragged about all the incredible offers she was getting, including one to appear on Ugly Betty, but an ABC spokesman for Ugly Betty said:

"Paula will not be on our show."

It seems that all the offer Paula has been bragging about have turned out to be nothing more than wishful thinking, which is exactly the kind of thinking that cost her a cushy job spouting incoherent comments on American Idol.

We’re waiting for you to show us all how wrong we are about you Paula.

Nigel Lythgoe in the Middle of Homo Scandal

nigel lythgoe gay scandal Nigel Lythgoe in the Middle of Homo Scandal

Nigel Lythgoe, a highly resepcted judge from So You Think You Can Dance, criticized two male dancers, along with his fellow judges, because they kept switching the lead, and fell at the end of their audition. One judge said one should have chosen to be the guy, and the other the girl, so they wouldn’t be tripping all over each other. It was just a mess if you saw it.

GLADD, the hefty organization for high emotion and sensitive facist gays, got upset with Nigel calling him a homophobe, and demanded he apologize. That crap is so 2008. We have a half black president now. Political correctness, and racism, are now everyday issues, like a sun burn that needs a little Aloe Vera. Just rub the lotion on the skin GLADD, and quit trying to make yourselves the center of attention. What’s the matter do you need donations or something? No one cares if the dancers are gay, but they do care if they fit with what the show expects, and that’s good dancing by people the audience can connect with. If GLADD wants a couple of two left footed dancers to appear on the show, then how about giving So You Think You Can Dance a corporate sponsorship to help them stem the loss of viewers and advertisers for putting people on the show that can’t dance.

Anyway, I am ranting over this "look at me I’m gay and need special rights" crap. Nigel wrote a response on Twitter to address the homo-made scandal:

I hear I’m taking a beating on the web due to my comments regarding same sex ballroom I thought I was the most accepting of it on the panel?

The same sex ballroom guys did remind me of "Blades of Glory." However, I’m not a fan of ’Brokeback’ Ballroom.

I am very sad the word ’homophobe’ is being used. That is someone who hates homosexuals. I dislike effeminate dancing! Wake up and listen!

I believe overtly effeminate dancing destroys the opportunity for many male dancers to be supported. Being gay doesn’t mean effeminate.

We have had same sex dancing on SYTYCD from Season 1. Last year Joshua and Twitch. Before that Mia’s Prince’s routine with Danny and Neil.

I am passionate about dancers and dancing. I am not interested in their sexual preferences only their dancing and performances. Offstage ??

That Tweet was from yesterday, but today Nigel posted another Tweet today saying:

I wholeheartedly apologize for my Brokeback Ballroom Tweet. It was insensitive, ignorant and stupid. I have upset a number of dear friends.

Poor Nigel, the gays are getting his head all twisted, so now he is losing his sense of reality. If we took a vote the majority of So You Think You Can Dance viewers would probably also say they are not fans of a "Brokeback Ballroom" either, unless the dancers were really good. It’s all about the dancing. As far as I’m concerned the show shouldn’t have even allowed two male, or two female dancers to audition, because if they don’t win the gays make it all about homophobia, and I for one am sick of it.

Nigel Lythgoe Speaks Out on Jeff Archuleta Ban

David Archuleta Performs on American Idol

The American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, who "banned" Jeff Archuleta from being backstage with his son David Archuleta is telling his side of the story. Nigel said:

"Banished is a terrible word, isn’t it? It sounds like we’re in some far-off kingdom. He has been asked not to participate in the choice of music with David or be in the room when David is working out his routines that he wants to sing. He’s fine to be in the studio, nothing wrong with that. We just want David to be able to be free like everybody else to get on and do what they want to do."

When asked about the lyric change Jeff made that allegedly cost Idol a lot of money in copyright fees Nigel said:

"There was a lyric change that happened that was a total misunderstanding. Just another, um, step along the way of us saying, "Okay, this is what we want to happen from now on."

Nigel also addressed concern that David was getting better guidance from his father Jeff than the rest of the contestants:

"No, no, no. It has nothing to do with fairness. We just want everyone to have an equal opportunity, and if that’s fairness, fine. But this is more of just the fact of let’s take some pressure away here, you know? It’s like anybody appearing in front of their mom and dad. Let’s just open up the pressure cooker, release the pressure, and you just get on and do what you gotta do."

Nigel also addressed rumors that Jeff was a pushy "stage dad," saying:

"What is a stage dad, or a stage mom? It’s someone who’s protective. That’s all."

David’s vocal coach, Dean Kaelin, also responded to the "stage dad" rumors defending Jeff by saying:

"David’s dad is just a caring, concerned parent that fortunately has some musical expertise, and some people fear that because of this David receives an unfair advantage."

Tonight Jeff was in the audience, and was very friendly with Randy and Paula. While some stage dads and moms in the past have pushed their kids until their success destroyed them, Jeff seems to just be trying to help David win, so he can have a chance in Hollywood. That’s something most parents would do for their kids if they had the same opportunity.
