Mariah Carey was in Japan, and got the opportunity to throw the first pitch to open a Japanese baseball game. A Japanese show then interviewed her. Nick Cannon was also there with his hands all over Mariah while she sat on his lap. It seemed a little inappropriate for the conservative Japanese culture.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon arrived early in Japan today for the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2008, which take place on May 31.

The couple are pictured here at Narita International Airport, so why is Mariah showing off her ring? Seems pretty immature, just like suddenly getting married and planning a baby right away. Mariah had a nervous breakdown several years ago, and if this marriage doesn’t workout perfectly, she’ll probably end up a lot like Britney. There’s good reason for concern, especially since the couple are planning to have children.

Yesterday was a busy day for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. The couple rented Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California for five hours to host a party for 100 of their friends. Carey told the staff at the theme park:

"This is wonderful. The best surprise ever!"

Nick is already spending Carey’s money.

Earlier in the day the couple had one of Carey’s assistants call L.A.’s upper class baby store Petit Tresor to send fabric samples, and its designers, to work with the couple on a nursery with a butterflies theme.

Carey’s manager, Benny Medina, says she is not pregnant yet. Three weeks ago, Carey told OK! magazine that she was in no hurry to start a family "because of childhood traumatic stuff." However, ever since walking down the aisle with Cannon, she said having children is "part of the whole purpose of getting married."

At 38 years-old, Mariah has no time to waste in getting pregnant. So many celebrities are having children later in life. It’s a trend.

Mariah Carey, and her new husband Nick Cannon, made a public appearance last night in New York City at Time Magazine’s Most Influential People party. Mariah performed, and then the couple had dinner at the Waverly Inn.

How long are these two going to last? I lost interest in this couple the minute I heard they got married. Now I keep forgetting Nick is her husband and not Mariah’s personal asssistant.
