Naomi Campbell got so drunk in Italy earlier this week that she actually fell down, or passed out. Whenever something embarrassing like this happens Naomi always has an excuse. Her agent said:

“It was just a bit of fun and not down to drink. Naomi was playing this trust game, where you fall into a friend’s arms. It’s very hot there, so that could also have had something to do with it.”

Heat would make the alcohol hit your system faster, but trust games? It’s insulting when celebrities, and their reps, talk to us like we’re children. If it was a trust game, the person behind her would have let Naomi crack her skull on the ground.

The Crown Prosecution Service says Naomi Campbell faces six charges, three counts of assaulting a constable, two counts of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to the cabin crew, and one count of disorderly conduct. Police said the assault charges related to two officers. (Earlier reports today said the charges would total 5, however, new information from prosecutors makes it clear Naomi faces 6 charges.)

Naomi’s lawyer issued this statement:

"Miss Campbell is bitterly disappointed that the prosecutors have advised her she is to be prosecuted for various offences. She respects that decision and she hopes this matter is dealt with expeditiously."

The assault charges carry a maximum sentence of six months in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000. The other charges are punishable by a fine. Campbell was ordered to appear at a west London magistrates’ court June 20.

Naomi pleaded guilty to assault in 2000 and 2007, so she might as well make a plea deal this time too.

Naomi Campbell is making people in New York City very uncomfortable. She’s been smoking in restaurants in NYC despite a law that makes it illegal to smoke. Naomi doesn’t care, and restaurant staff are too afraid to tell her to put out the smoke.

A staff member at a London restaurant said they let her smoke there because "we don’t want to face her tantrums."

Normally when someone yells "Naomi Campbell is holding a BAT!," it’s usually followed by "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!," but this is all part of her cameo on Ugly Betty we reported on previously. If producers really wanted an episode that was MUST WATCH, they should have loaded her up with Blackberries, shot the scene in an airport terminal, then told her some of her luggage was missing.

Naomi Campbell returned to the scene of her crime, Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport in London. The ticking time bomb chatted it up with cops, and smiled big for the paparazzi. Which airline allowed her on their plane? It sure wasn’t British Airways.
