Billy Ray Cyrus commented on his daughter, 16 year-old Miley Cryus, pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards on August 10 while singing Party in the USA. Billy Ray said:

“You know what? I just think that Miley loves entertaining people. She loves singing and songwriting.”

“I always tell her to love what you’re doing and stay focused for the love of the art, and not worry so much about opinion.”

“I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they wanna make, and make it in their own voice. I think it’s important.”

Billy Ray believes he is a good parent as long as Miley is drawing crowds, and making money for the family. Strippers do the very same thing, on the very same stripper pole. Did Billy Ray hear the interviewer say “stripper pole?” Once your daughter is on the pole Billy Ray, you are a failure as a parent just as Chris Rock said in the video below. Entertaining men 18 and over, and teasing boys 17 and younger, with a stripper pole dance is too adult for a Disney role model.

We expect to see a lot more exposure of Miley after she turns 18 years-old, which we’re sure daddy will encourage.

Miley Cyrus (16) did some pole dancing on top of an ice cream cart during her Sunday night performance at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Some role model for teens.

Miley Tweeted on Twitter the other day that some were saying she was the next Britney Spears, even though no one has been saying that, in fact, everyone has been calling her the next Lindsay Lohan, as in the next train wreck.

We are guessing the stripper pole was supposed to suggest something Britney would do, and the silver trailer, I assume, is supposed to be where both Briney and Miley came from.

Miley just posted a picture of herself in new glasses, and tweeted:

“My new glasses yayy! Makes me look smart and stylish!”

Ya, stylish for a naughty secretary, which we don’t doubt is the look Miley was going for. Guess what Miley is dressing up as for Halloween?

According to Chris Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus is a total failure as a father. As Chris said, and I agree, a daddy’s job in life is to keep his daughter OFF THE POLE. It doesn’t take a genius to see where Miley is headed from here.

A police report from Tybee Island Police says on June 22 Mark McLeod was arrested as he stood with a crowd watching the filming of Cyrus’s movie “The Last Song.“ They say McLeod was making “inappropriate comments” to some of the young females present and that when approached, McLeod became belligerent, started screaming and fought officers who tried to arrest him.

The report also goes on to outline comments Tybee Island police say McLeod made to them saying he was “great friends with Cyrus and she had asked him to come and see her.“

The report indicates that McLeod said he had “been camping at Tybee for three or four days and that he had observed Cyrus on her balcony, that he sent her special presents and that he was going to marry Cyrus and even invited the police officer to the wedding.“

St Lawrence says no one at his office was given the incident report from Tybee Police which he says is standard procedure and that most municipalities don’t provide those reports to the jail and if they do it is often “days after the arrest.“

Chatham County Sheriff Al St Lawrence says his office did nothing wrong in the case of a man who some are calling a stalker of Miley Cyrus. He says the man, 53 year old Mark McLeod was arrested by Tybee Island Police on June 22 and booked on two charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction. St Lawrence says the man was released the day after his arrest. “If we had heard something about this guy and some of the stuff he had been saying or he had been charged with a felony he wouldn’t have been released,“ St Lawrence said.

Sheriff St Lawrence says “if this man really is a stalker, yes this would be a concern, but again we were told nothing about any of the comments that McLeod made to Tybee Island arresting officers. And even if we had been told, it wouldn’t have mattered because he was charged with two non-violent misdemeanors and we acted accordingly.“

Tybee Island Police would not comment to us about any of this. St Lawrence did tell us that if “the arresting officer feels someone is unbalanced or in need of mental health attention, that officer can take them to Memorial Health for an evaluation or set things in motion to have them evaluated at Georgia Regional. “We had no indication of any problems on the morning he was released,“ St Lawrence told us.

Tybee Island’s police report does indicate that when McLeod was arrested he stated to booking personnel that he was “Miley Cyrus’s boyfriend and they should contact her before we waste all this time.“

St Lawrence does acknowledge that jail overcrowding was one factor in McLeod’s release on the morning of June 23. “We have to look at who is charged with violent offenses and every day, figure out who we can let out. We aren’t doing anything different than any other county in Georgia, we’re all having to make these kinds of decisions.“

St Lawrence told us that while overcrowding played some role that “if this guy had $148 dollars he could have bonded out that day regardless of how many people had been housed in the jail that morning.“

McLeod was released on what St Lawrence called a subpoena signature with the promise to appear in court on September first. His whereabouts are now unknown.

It shouldn’t be too hard to locate McLeod, just scan the crowd at any of Miley’s upcoming concert, or public events, he’s sure to show up at one of them.

When Adam Shankman posted this picture of himself and Miley Cyrus in her dressing room, on the set of The Last Song in Georgia, some reported the pictures were a new scandal for the 16 year-old. Shankman wrote in response:

"Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room! Seriously! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She’s like my angel little sister."

Miley is a teenage girl growing into a woman, maybe we should give Miley a break and let her grow up. On the other hand, Miley is also a role model who lives in the public eye, so she needs to protect her image, and the fans that look up to her.
