Anne Hathaway Gives Painful Critics Choice Acceptance Speech

Share

Anne Hathaway should have prepared a written speech when she accepted her award at the Critics Choice Awards. Anne got the award for her role in Rachel Getting Married. Meryl Streep received the same award in a tie, for her role in Doubt.

The sweetest part of the whole acceptance speech was seeing how bitter Angelina Jolie looked after she realized she lost to Anne. Anne also gave a lot of praise to Meryl for being such an incredible actress, but never mentioned Jolie, who looked like she expected some consideration.

Angelina has been considering retirement, but after a bitter loss like this, she just might be cooking up a really big award winning role for her next project.

Robert Redford and Meryl Streep Hate Tom Cruise

cruise streep redford Robert Redford and Meryl Streep Hate Tom Cruise

According to some Robert Redford and Meryl Streep have a hatred for Tom Cruise, and they made that issue overtake any publicity surrounding their new movie together Lions for Lambs. Fox News reports:

Robert Redford and Meryl Streep did not attend Tom Cruise’s big dinner the other night honoring him by the American Museum of the Moving Image.

When I noted that the "Lions for Lambs" stars were absent, an insider very close to the scene told me, "Meryl and Bob can’t stand Tom. In London, Tom kept trying to push himself into interviews. Bob said, ’No.’ Tom wouldn’t listen. Meryl has done almost nothing for the movie. She wants nothing to do with him."

Lions for Lambs is another anti-American movie promoting Robert Redford’s beliefs. Even supporters who share Redford’s beliefs hate the movie. This whole hate Tom thing seems like a good way to blame him for the bad reception of the movie, when it would have sucked even more without him. I’m still not sure why Tom even agreed to get involved. From my calculations Tom is worth over $1 billion from his acting earnings, which is far and above anything Redford or Streep have made, so maybe they should be less jealous and more respectful. I used to like Redford until I found out how anti-American, and petty he is.
