Meredith Vieira Falls Hard on ice with Will Ferrell
It wasn’t Will Ferrell’s fault Meredith Vieira fell and hit her head on the ice, but it sure looks like it hurt. OUCH! What can anyone expect from a graduate from The View? If it had been Rosie there would have been an earthquake that would have collapsed buildings, and the earth would be spinning on a new axis.
Joy Behar French Kisses Meredith Vieira on The View
Friday’s episode of The View was the last hoorah for co-host Meredith Vieira, she’s set to fill Katie Couric’s seat on The Today Show. Joy Behar, Barbara Walters, Star Jones, and Elisabeth roasted their co-host for their send-off, but Joy Behar gave Meredith Vieira something to really remember, a French kiss! Behar went in for the liplock during her turn at the dais. “I love you so much, you know that,” she told Vieira. “I just don’t know how to express it. So I thought to myself, ’What would Rosie O’Donnell do?’” That’s when Behar made her move. Afterwards, Vieira talked backstage about her favorite moments from her last day on ’The View.’ Vieria joins ’Today’ in September. I can’t wait to hear Rosie comment on this Brokeback Mountain chapter in The View’s history. Barbara Walters Boots Star Jones
Sources connected with Barbara Walters and ABC said that Barbara Walters is angry at Meredith Vieira for leaving The View. We’re told that Walters feels betrayed after giving Vieira such a launching pad over the last nine years. We’re also told Walters is angry at ABC for not matching Vieira’s NBC offer. Vieira will reportedly earn $40 million over the next four years for anchoring ’Today.’ Ironically, Walters pulled a reverse Meredith back in 1976, when she left her job as co-anchor of NBC’s ’Today’ to co-anchor ABC’s network newscast. As for reports that Star Jones will be booted from ’The View,’ our sources say it’s all but a sure thing. One source says: “Barbara hates Star.” The New York Post reports that Rosie O’Donnell, Vieira’s replacement, made Star’s exit a condition to joining the daily gabfest. As for reports that Gayle King will replace Star, the television show ’EXTRA’ caught up Oprah’s good friend, who said: “All I can say is nobody from ’The View’ has talked to me about joing ’The View’ and I certainly haven’t talked to anybody at ’The View.’” In the interview airing tonight, King told ’EXTRA’: “I can’t imagine ’The View’ without her (Star), I really can’t.” Video Gayle King discusses the rumor she is joining The View

Everyone is expecting fireworks between Rosie
O’Donnell and Star Jones on The View, but the real hostility
lies between Star and Barbara Walters, according to the New York Post.
"You can’t even mention Star’s name around Barbara," their source says. "She
hates her. Really can’t stand her." Rumor has it Star wanted to be the moderator
of The View when Meredith Vieira leaves, but Barbara said no.
Jones’ rep said, "Star has always viewed Barbara Walters as a mentor and is
unaware of any hostility." A spokesperson for Walters says, "Star has never
angled or asked for the moderator position. Star can stay on The View as
long as she wants to, she has been very gracious."
I have to admit Star is looking more girly now that she had a load of plastic surgery, and to think all Rosie’s contract said was that she couldn’t cut her hair.
