Tracey Edmonds is shooting down rumors that she and Eddie Murphy and have split up, saying the couple are actually "very happy." Rumors surfaced this week that the couple had broken up due to the stress of the paternity case between Murphy and his former girlfriend, Spice Girl Melanie Brown. "I did hear about the false rumor. That is absolutely not true," Edmonds, a film producer who started dating Murphy last fall said.

On June 22, a rep for Brown announced that DNA tests proved Murphy is the father of Brown’s 2-month-old daughter, Angel Iris. Murphy’s rep declined to comment on the test results. However, Edmonds, whose divorce from singer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds was finalized in June, said that “the paternity test had no impact on our relationship.”

In fact, Edmonds said she and Murphy are going on an Italian vacation for the Fourth of July holiday, if anyone really cares.

Pinch yourself–you’re NOT dreaming, although this could be a very vivid nightmare.  US is reporting that The Spice Girls are going on tour:

The Spice Girls officially announced on Thursday that all five original members — Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm, 33, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton 32, and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, 32, Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell, 34, and 33-year-old Victoria"Posh Spice" Beckham -– will reunite for 11 concerts around the world in December and January. The shows will be their first concerts since breaking up in 2001.

There’s no word yet on whether they will be enlisting new names for the tour, but we suggest:  Melanie "My Arthritis Keeps Me From Playing Sports Spice" Chisholm, Emma "Even My Eggs Are Over the Hill Spice" Bunton, Melanie "I Don’t Fall For No Banana In the Tailpipe Either Eddie Murphy Spice" Brown, Geri "My Solo Career Flopped And Now I Wear Moo Moo’s Spice" Halliwell, and, finally, Victoria "I May Be a Butterface But I Scored a Hot Husband Spice" Beckham. 

"Imagine you got divorced and you’ve got back together with your ex-husband," said Halliwell, who quit the group to pursue a solo career in 1998.

"She just appreciates the fact we’ve let her back in," joked Beckham.

Note to Beckham:  You’re lucky we allowed you in the U.S.

Melanie Brown (aka "Scary Spice") claims to have proof that Eddie Murphy is her two-month-old baby’s daddy. Brown says that a paternity test had confirmed that Murphy is indeed the father.

Eddie seemed to want no part of his ex-girlfriend’s life once the couple broke up and reportedly has refused to talk to Brown since the birth of her daughter. But Brown was so sure that Eddie was the daddy that she named her daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Murphy’s management has refused to comment on the situation.

A DNA test was taken by Eddie Murphy to determine whether or not he fathered Melanie Brown aka Scary Spice’s child. The 32 year old singer dated Murphy last year and insisted that the actor is the child’s father. Brown gave birth to daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3 and allegedly named the 46 year old as the child’s father on the birth certificate, which later turned out to be false.

Murphy’s spokesman, Arnold Robinson made no statement on Brown’s claims but said; he would not confirm the paternity tests. "We do not comment on Mr. Murphy’s personal life." Last December a television reporter questioned Murphy on his being a soon-to-be-father and his reply, "And I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir."

If the child is his, a sixth kid is added to the Murphy bunch, as he already has five with ex wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

Poor Tracey to be caught in the middle of all this baby-mama drama mess.

For Eddie Murphy, it was time to pay the paternity-test piper.

Yesterday, Murphy reported for the court-ordered DNA test, though he insists he is not the father of Melanie Brown’s daughter.

According to The Sun the Spice Girl and the funnyman, arriving separately, didn’t say much outside the clinic.

Mel, 32, was tight-lipped as she carried two-month-old ANGEL IRIS into the Beverly Hills clinic in a car seat.

She split from the actor when she was pregnant.

The two managed to time their appointments to avoid each other.

Murphy was asked if he would seek visiting rights if the test goes against him.

He sped off after insisting: "I will do the right thing."

Good for Eddie, though who knows what "the right thing" is in Beverly Hills these days.

Wonder if he’ll "have to" marry Mel B?
