Mattel has added new Twilight dolls to their collection, and it seems all anyone cares about is the Jacob Black doll, played by Taylor Lautner, without a shirt.

The doll sells for $24.95.

When are they going to make a Taylor Swift doll? Come to think of it, the Lautner and Swift dolls could be the next Ken and Barbie best selling dolls.

Just days after announcing the soon-to-be on sale S&M Barbie doll, which Mattel created to protect their brand, Mattel has won a lawsuit against a former employee who created Bratz while working for Mattel. A federal jury ruled in Mattel’s favor yesterday. As a result, MGA Entertainment, who manufactures the dolls, will have to pay Mattel a big chunk of the $500 million a year the Bratz dolls make.

The new S&M Barbie doll, called Black Canary Barbie,comes complete with kinky fishnets, motorcycle jacket, black gloves and boots.

Mattel say Black Canary Barbie, due out in September, is based on a DC comic superhero of the same name.

A religious group Christian Voice said:

"Barbie has always been on the tarty side and this is taking it too far. A children’s doll in sexually suggestive clothing is irresponsible – it’s filth.”

Mattel actually agreed back in 2002 when they sued to block sales of a kinky S&M Barbie doll, which was made by sticking the heads of legitimately purchased Superstar Barbies onto kinky bodies.

In 2002 Manhattan federal Judge Laura Taylor Swain surprised Mattel with a preliminary finding that ruled in favor of the doll, because she found it wasn’t "a market substitute for Barbie dolls."

"To the court’s knowledge, there is no Mattel line of ’S&M Barbie,’" Judge Taylor Swain said.

This September Mattel will launch the new S&M Barbie, even if it doesn’t sell, to give itself the legal right to challenge anyone who tries to sell another S&M Barbie.

If you can’t beat them, join them.
