Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

Chris Brown appeared in court today with his attorney Mark Geragos, and plead not guilty to the charges against him regarding a domestic dispute with Rihanna.
The charges against Brown are assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and making criminal threats. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum sentence of four years and eight months in prison.
Although Rihanna attacked Brown first, our sexist courts would never believe a man who claims self defense, nor has Rihanna been charged with a crime for attacking Brown. Equality does not exist for men in the United States.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 29.

Chris Brown Arraingment Continued

Chris Brown appeared in court today with his attorney Mark Geragos. Although today was supposed to be arraignment day, Geragos asked for a continuance until April 6 which the judge granted saying:
"You are not to annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."
The judge also asked if there was a restraining order, to which Geragos replied:
"Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order."
Brown did not enter a plea today, which means he may be working on a plea deal. Rihanna may also not be cooperating, which could undermine the prosecutor’s case.
After the hearing Rihanna’s attorney whispered in Brown’s ear that Rihanna wanted this case to be over as quickly as this first hearing, which could mean the case may get dismissed at the next hearing.
