US Weekly has an exclusive interview with Britney Spears’s mother about the frequent-bum-flasher’s troubles.

"You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out," Lynne Spears told US in an exclusive interview that is featured in the latest issue of the magazine. "It’s sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another."

Moms and "sources" also talked a bit about the family’s post-rehab rift.

"She decided that she had to cut out everyone who was using her, and that included her parents," says a source of Spears, 26.

The estrangement was especially hard on the pop star’s mother.

"Lynne was like Britney’s best friend, so when Britney started partying and her mom tried to control her, she got mad," a family source explains.

Too bad the interview was too late to have her comment on rumors that K-Fed is adding to Britney’s step-brood.

Britney Spears must be feeling really forgiving lately.  She certainly seems to be in the mood to mend fences.

First, word comes that she and Kevin Federline are making nice.

Now, Splash News reports that Brit and Lynne Spears secretly met up in LA.

Britney in her black Mercedes arrived first escorted by her bodyguards and Britney’s mother hiding in the back of the car followed 20 minutes later and all parties departed the gated estate approximately 1 hour later looking in good spirits. Things have been extremely strained between Britney and her mother so bad in fact that according to rumor she refused to see her mother on Mothers Day even though Lynne was sick with pneumonia. After recovering Lynne had been scheduled for what was believed to be a tell all about her famous daughter on the television show ” The View ” but at the last minute pulled the pin.

We had been wondering why exactly Lynne had cancelled her scheduled June 6 appearance on The View.  A personal appeal from her wayward daughter, perhaps?

Though we’re glad to hear that this momma-offspring feud is ending, we’re still hoping that this doesn’t mean the rumors of a Federline reconciliation are true.

Britney Spears has escaped to Mexico for some rest and relaxation. Britney is hiding out until after her mother Lynne Spears appears on The View this week on June 6. It’s nice to see Lynne is doing well after being hospitalized with pneumonia, and Britney wouldn’t go see her.

After seeing Britney in that thong bikini I finally realized, her body will never be hot again after two kids. Oh well, there’s plenty other much hotter fish in the sea.

The other day Britney Spears wrote another letter to fans on her website about false stories in the media about her. The most recent was a feud she was having with her mom Lynne Spears. Lynne was in the hospital with pneumonia, and Britney refused to visit her. A rumor circulated that the reason for the feud was Britney was upset because her mother was one of the people responsible for getting her to go to rehab. It looks like Britney’s letter to fans may have been a preemptive strike.

On Wednesday, June 6, Lynne Spears will appear on The View in the Hot Topics segment. Without Rosie on the show The View needs some legitimate controversy. I wonder what and who Lynne will talk about?
