Britney Spears and Sam Lutfi got into a huge, "really ugly" fight. Britney and Sam drove up to the gate of her house when she suddenly jumped out of the car crying. Britney’s paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib said he got a frantic call from a hysterical Brit at that moment, pleading with him, "Baby, can you come pick me up??" Adnan told us he told her to go into her house and he would be right over. When he arrived, however, he was told in no uncertain terms that he was not allowed to enter the gate, the guards were under strict orders from Sam not to let him in. He’s tried calling each of her six cell phones and the house phone, but she’s not answering. Sam sent the text messages you see above to Adnan.

The LAPD were called to the scene for what they initially said was a person trying to get access to the grounds without permission. However, the LAPD were actually called to contain the paparazzi crush that was trying to film the fight, not for one specific person.

Adnan Ghalib’s photo agency employer FinalPixx said:

"The truth is that Sam Lutfi started an argument with Britney and the two ended up in a screaming fight. Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London.

"Britney called Adnan for help and he heard the distress in her voice and drove to the Summit immediately. While outside the gates he was denied access as Sam Lutfi had informed the guards that he was not allowed entry. When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off."

Despite Lutfi’s efforts Britney still met up with Ghalib later last night. Last night, Britney’s mom, Lynne, her dad, Jamie, cousin Alli, as well as Sam Lutfi, and Adnan Ghalib all showed up at Britney’s house and were all there at the same time. Also Last night, Britney, Lynne, and Lutfi left the house at some point to go to Long’s Drugstore. Maybe Britney needed to get her prescription filled.

Word is that Britney’s family is trying to stage an intervention to get Britney real psychiatric help, but that can only be accomplished if Britney is willing to go along with the plans.

Britney Spears has done the impossible since her discharge early Saturday morning from Cedars-Sinai hospital: slipping out of her Beverly Hills home undetected despite the constant vigil of paparazzi and media outside. The pop star, accompanied by Finalpixx photographer Adnan Ghalib since a few hours after her release, popped into the Daily Grill in Palm Desert around 10 a.m. Sunday.

"She seemed in a really good mood, laughing with the guy she was with," says the restaurant’s manager. Spears shielded herself behind large, dark sunglasses and "had a champagne mimosa to drink," he said. Champagne for breakfast sounds very healthy. She stayed at the restaurant about an hour, as Vegas Confidential’s Norm Clarke first reported.

Spears, 26, had been keeping company with Ghalib, 35, before her recent meltdown. The two checked into two hotels over the past couple of weeks, but he was not on hand Friday during her stay in Cedars-Sinai.

Dr. Phil responded in this video below to the TMZ stories reporting that psychiatric professionals questioned Cedars permitting the TV doc into Britney Spears’ hospital room without her prior knowledge or consent.

Here’s what he said about his visit on Saturday morning on today’s "Early Show": "I want to set the record straight. I went to see Britney at the request of her family. I talked to Lynne, Jamie, and Brian, because they were frustrated that she wasn’t going to be held for a longer time."

Asked how he had come to be involved in the saga, Dr. Phil said, "Thursday night, the phone rang, it was Lynne, clearly she was very upset. Any parent would be. I was first contacted by her family a year ago, and had maintained a running dialogue for the last year or so."

Britney Spears is currently on the road to pay a visit to her manager Sam Lutfi. Friends say Sam is the only person Britney will listen to. Sounds crazy.

While Britney faces another crisis in her life, Britney’s mother Lynne Spears is more than 3,000 miles away in Kentwood, Louisiana, doing nothing for Britney. Lynne’s parenting has only produced extremely troubled children, so it’s better that Lynne just stays away from Britney while she gets her life together. Right now Lynne needs to stay close to her next meal ticket, Jamie Lynn Spears. Although Britney’s father Jamie Spears has been at Britney’s side during this crisis, she’s is already not listening to anyone again. If Sam saves Britney he could turn his very negative public image around.

Update: Now Sam is looking for Britney after she didn’t show up. Sam is rumored to be worried that Britney may be going to see her bang buddy and paparazzi Adnan Ghalib. It’s rumored that Britney may also be at Dr. Phil’s house, but when asked his wife wouldn’t say if Britney was there. I hope she is.

Spears family father, Jamie Spears, is a private chef. Jamie decided to work on Christmas rather than spend it with the family, because he is still so upset with his wife Lynne Spears for selling their pregnant 16 year-old daughter, Jamie Lynn Spears, story and pictures to a tabloid. The Spears family needs to stop all the petty bickering. The father should be setting an example. Britney Spears reportedly hid the gifts her mom got for the kids, and says she might send them back unopened. Like father like daughter, and like mother like daughter. Ever the optimist concerning the Spears family, Dr. Phil McGraw commends matriarch Lynne Spears – despite the current controversy regarding her 16-year old daughter’s (Jamie Lynn Spears) pregnancy.

"We know the Spears family, particularly the parents," he tells PEOPLE at Adrienne Maloof and Dr. 90210 Phil Nassif’s holiday party in Beverly Hills on Saturday. "An asset that Britney and Jamie Lynn both have is a great and dedicated mother."

McGraw admits that his friend is "troubled right now" but is "really looking for the positives in this." As her daughters live under the glare of public scrutiny and criticism, Lynne has "her feet squarely and solidly on the ground," he says.

"They’re a very strong, close-knit family," says Dr. Phil’s wife Robin, "They’re relying on each other." And with her book recently put on hold, Lynne is also drawing strength from her faith. "I talked to Lynne yesterday and she said they’re turning to prayer, asked that I pray for them. That’s how they’re going to get through it."

Dr. Phil has proven to me at least, he’s all about sending a message that translates into a commercial profit for him. Dr. Phil thinks a formerly drug addicted, now divorced with two kids who she lost custody of, and crazy Britney Spears, and now pregnant at 16 years-old Jamie Lynn Spears turned out so wonderful because Lynne Spears is such a great mother? I don’t know what Dr. Phil is drinking, but keep it away from me. Raise your hand if you think Lynne Spears is a great mother.
