The Great Gatsby Movie Trailer

The Great Gatsby is a novel written by the great F. Scott Fitzgerald, published in 1925, and is now being made into a movie. Why? There are no original ideas in Hollywood. The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, and many more great actors.

When I was a teenager I read The Great Gatsby in private school. It was an incredible novel. I watched the movie video trailer below, and although it has some intense emotional scenes, I’m not sure how cohesive the story line will be. The movie will hit theaters on December 25, 2012, so there is great expectation this will be a blockbuster movie. If it’s done well it will be, and I hope it is because Fitzgerald is one of the greatest authors who ever lived.

You might remember a movie called The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, released in 2008, with Brad Pitt playing the starring role. That movie was also written by Fitzgerald as a short story in 1922.

Aretha Wilson Finally in Court for Leonardo DiCaprio Assault

Aretha Wilson, the woman who smashed a drinking glass into the face of Leonardo DiCaprio, is was finally in court for her crime.

Wilson’s lawyer claims the case is a cover up, because Leo didn’t even report the incident for 3 days, and the 5 witnesses are telling inconsistent stories.

The lawyer is asking for the toxicology report that might have been done the night Leo went to the hospital to get stitches after Wilson hit him with the glass.

Wilson’s lawyer says his client said to Leo at a party thrown by Rick Salomon at his home:

"You guys are a bunch of fags. Why don’t you go butt f*ck each other."

The lawyer says that made Leo upset so he approached Wilson in a threatening way.

Leo’s lawyer, Blair Berk, said:

"These are outrageous lies and a classic case of trying to re-victimize a victim in a violent assault."

"That this woman became a fugitive from justice for 5 years to avoid responsibility and that Mr. DiCaprio has fully cooperated with the prosecution from day 1 should say everything. This woman has a long criminal history of violent criminal attacks on others and should be given no attention whatsoever."

"Mr. DiCaprio simply wants justice."

Police had to convince Canada to allow them to bring Wilson back to the United States to be put on trial for her crime.

Good luck with the justice part. Wilson will probably just have to pay Leo’s legal bills, get some probation, and anger management, then get her criminal record wiped clean, because she was a girl who had some difficulties in her life that made her commit this crime, or whatever excuse the court can dream up to be easy on this girl. I’m surprised cops spent so much tax payer money over the past 5 years to get this girl back to the United States when the court won’t do more than slap her on the wrist.

If the judge really wants to punish Wilson, make her pay back the tax payers, the court costs, and legal fees for Leo’s attorney. Make her work it off cleaning toilets, and sewer drains.

Nice painted on eyebrows by the way.

Shutter Island Not the Only Good Movie Coming Soon

Back in August 2009 I talked about how good Shutter Island looked, and it has now had a $40.2 million debut. The movie is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio.

As I mentioned in my previous article DiCaprio has another big movie coming out called Inception, which is written and directed by Christoper Nolan, who wrote some of the big Batman blockbuster movies.

Inception hits theaters July 16, 2010. Click here to see the video movie trailer.

Leonardo DiCaprio Shutter Island and Inception

Leonardo DiCaprio has a whole bunch of psychological thriller movies, and other incredible movies coming out over the next few years. DiCaprio is one of my favorite actors of all time, and for good reason. Back in 2005 DiCaprio received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the tender age of 30.

Two movies that look intense are Shutter Island above, and Inception below. Paramount is rumored to have pushed back the release date of Shutter Island from October 2, 2009, to sometime in February 2010. I hope the rumor isn’t true, because I really want to see this movie.

Inception’s video trailer just come online, and it is slated to hit theaters July 16, 2010. Inception seems to have a lot of Matrix special effects.
