larry king contract Larry King Could Die on the Air

Larry King and CNN have agreed to extend his contract until June 2011. This is good news. It was rumored that Katie Couric was being considered to take over for King if he left when his contract expired. Katie would have killed the show in less than a year, just like she’s doing to CBS news. By the time Larry does retire CNN will probably be able to replace him with a robot. A Larry King robot.

marie osmond Donny Osmond Apologizes to Larry King

Donny Osmond apologized to Larry King for criticizing the CNN talk-show host after Larry revealed that Marie Osmond’s 16-year-old son had entered rehab. Marie appeared stunned, and asked Larry how he knew that her adopted son was in rehab. Donny and Marie were very upset, but still found it in their hearts to forgive Larry like the true Christians they are. Donny said:

"I was very upset about it," the 49-year-old singer said in an interview that aired Monday on NBC’s "Today" show. "I thought it was very unfair for Larry King to throw that question at Marie the way he did. I have to back up and apologize publicly to Larry King because I came out and said some things against him … In hindsight, Larry King did Marie a favor," Osmond said. "She was able to make a statement about the situation. … And so she’s grateful to Larry."

Larry should have been the one to apologize to Marie for asking such a rude question right after her father died. Click here to see the video.

marie osmond Marie Osmond Son is in Rehab

On tonight’s Larry King Live, Larry King asked if Marie Osmond’s 16-year-old son Michael was in rehab. Marie was stunned by the question and asked Larry, "How did you know that?" Marie confirmed that her adopted son Michael was indeed in rehab. Marie said, "It’s been a hard week." Her father just passed away. Click here to see the video.

It’s amazing Larry saves the tough questions for nice people like Marie, while letting others like Paris Hilton slide. Larry doesn’t want to anger the gods.
