Lance Armstrong Reveals Why He Broke Up with Sheryl Crow

lance armstrong and sheryl crow Lance Armstrong Reveals Why He Broke Up with Sheryl Crow

In his new book Lance Armstrong explains why he ended his relationship with Sheryl Crow weeks before her 44th birthday:

"She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids."

"Yet we’re up against her biological clock, that pressure is what cracked it."

"We went to a couple counseling, but there is no way to counsel that situation."

"Because if somebody wants a child, man, that’s the greatest gift you can give to a woman, so who are you to stand there and say I don’t want one. So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue."

Either both the man and the woman want it, or it’s a deal breaker. It’s good to see Lance didn’t get himself into a situation that would have made him unhappy later, and caused a possible split with a child involved like his previous marriage.

Later a still unmarried Crow, then 46, and her child bearing options diminishing adopted a two-week-year old infant she named Wyatt Steven Crow. Crow remains unmarried today.

Next month Armstrong’s girlfriend, not wife, Anna Hansen will give birth to the couple’s baby. It seems Armstrong left out one detail from his book, which seems to be that he was more against getting remarried, than having another child. Sheryl it seems wanted it all, wasn’t willing to compromise, so she lost it all.

Lance Armstrong Injury Update Video

lance armstrong broken collar bone Lance Armstrong Injury Update Video

Lance Armstrong (37) gave us a video update of the surgery on his shattered collarbone, which is being held together with a metal plate and twelve screws. The break wasn’t a clean one, but shattered pieces. Lance says in the video:

"In almost 20 years of pro cycling I’ve very rarely had crashes. I’ve been very lucky and very blessed when it comes to that. For this to happen now is a new experience for me."

"Initially we thought this was a simple fracture. When we came home we took additional X-rays, additional CT scans and realized the collarbone was actually in a quite a few pieces."

"We don’t know how my recovery will go, and we’ll just take it day by day and ultimately get back on the bike and sort things out."

We can’t help but suspect that someone deliberately caused Armstrong to crash to get him out of the race before he won his eighth Tour de France.

Get well soon Lance, and remember you’ll heal slower now that you’re older.

Lance Armstrong to have Surgery

lance armstrong broken collar bone Lance Armstrong to have Surgery

Lance Armstrong will have surgery for a broken right clavicle he suffered in a bicycle accident in the Tour de France. Lance Twittered the following message:

“I’m alive! Broken clavicle (right). Hurts like hell for now. Surgery in a couple of days. Thanks for all the well wishes.”

It’s hard to believe people do Twitter updates while they are in the hospital. Late Lance said in a statement:

“The crash has put my upcoming calendar in jeopardy, but the most important thing for me right now is to get back home and rest up and begin my rehab.”

“I think for the Giro it’s a very big problem. For now, the biggest problem is just the pain.”

“I’ve never had this happen before; it’s pretty painful. I feel really miserable.”

Armstrong is scheduled to compete in the Giro d’Italia from May 9-May 31, then the Tour de France from July 4-26. At the moment, it’s believed Lance will be healed enough to compete.

Get well soon Lance. We want to see you win another Tour de France.
