Shaquille O’Neal was doing some freestyle rapping at a New York City nightclub over the weekend, when he said Kobe Bryant ruined his marriage, then rapped "I’m a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that’s why I’m getting divorced. Kobe, tell me how my a** tastes."

The rap line most likely references a comment Kobe made during his infamous 2003 rape case, when he told Colorado police that he "Should have done what Shaq does … Shaq would pay his women not to say anything." Peter Cook tried that too.

Shaq told ESPN’s Stephen Smith yesterday:

"I was freestyling. That’s all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. I’m totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all. And by the way, don’t forget, six albums, two platinum, two gold. Anybody who knows me knows I’m a funny freestyler. Check the NBA DVD when I was rapping about Vlade Divac during my first championship run. Please tell everybody don’t make something out of nothing."

Imagine that. Kobe helps ruin Shaq’s marriage, and they’re still best buddies.

Laura Lane, who covers the Lakers for ESPN.com, wrote a comment about a purple tutu worn by Vanessa Bryant, wife of Kobe Bryant. Vanessa wasn’t too happy about it. Lane said:

So as I’m walking out of the Lakers locker room after some post-game interviews with the players, I pass Vanessa, who is sitting outside the locker room as usual with her two girls.
“Laura!” she screams (yes, she apparently knows my name). “F**k you! You f**king b!tch!”

“Excuse me?” I say, completely baffled as I look around me to see if there is someone else named Laura. No, there’s not.

Her daughters – ages 5 and 2 – are sitting next to her on the bench looking at their mom as she screams.

[More f-words ensue. Many more.]

I just stare at her. I’ve heard many stories about her from reporters, but this was unbelievable. Two of my friends from the LA Times told me how she cussed out one of them last season, because he said hi to her daughter. “Join the club, this means you’ve arrived,” said one reporter when word spread of my run-in with Vanessa. “She’s insane,” said another. “Everyone knows it.”

Lane says Vanessa’s anger may be related to frustration over the rumor that alleged Kobe was screwing one of the Laker Girls, "a hotter version of his wife who is also named Vanessa," who suddenly vanished from the squad. Kobe’s lawyer sent a letter the site that made the allegation demanding they remove the story. If we see Vanessa wearing more expensive jewelry, much like the ring with the big rock during the Kobe rape allegation, we’ll know something is up.

Answer: It’s fake. The video is a Nike commercial being used as viral video advertising, which is the latest fad. The car Kobe jumped over was computer generated. A lot of people would have preferred to see the car run over Kobe.

Kobe Bryant picked up a towel from the floor Sunday, and another towel somehow flew right into a woman’s face. I’d settle for an autograph, but not from Kobe. That towel was probably full of sweat too.
